“The idea was that if people were starving and the only way to eat was to accept government cheese, rather than starve, the masses would agree to what they would otherwise reject.”
One critical aspect these clowns forgot tto take into account: WHO makes the cheese?
I.e. if everyone is forced onto the dole, then there are no farmers left to produce the milk and/or to make the cheese. F’n Idealistic short-sighted morons........

We will try civil disobedience first.
WHEN that doesn't work........you guess.
To: jazusamo
I don’t see how one could say this is not working very much as planned.

Like all Marxist strategies, the brilliant minds of academia once again forgot the critical piece.
“OK, you caught the car, now what?”

Why...on government-run farms of course. Collectives.

The duo taught that if you flooded the welfare rolls and bankrupted the cities and ultimately the nation, it would foster economic collapse, which would lead to political turmoil so severe that socialism would be accepted as a fix to an out-of-control set of circumstances. That's a gamble as risky as the bet by a handful of hotheaded southern states that secession would result in, at worst, a short war which most of the nation did not have the stomach to fight.

Bill Maher said that people don’t have an accurate view of socialism. He said that people have these ideas that everyone is on a collective farm, and that this is inaccurate. He said that socialism is simply another political party or political movement in Europe, and that people still have all their freedoms.
Not saying I agree with Bill Maher, just that as a prominent liberal Hollywood idiot type, that’s what he tells his viewers.

I hope they continue. I don't want there to be any doubts when they are kneeling on the edge of a ditch with a gun barrel at their heads.
This can't last.

Could it be that Barack Obama is purposely pressuring the system in a premeditated effort to foster a major crisis? One that would demand extraordinary measures to control by a PresidentI do think Obama sees himself more as Lincoln than as FDR.
Eliminating the wage slavery of capitalism could justify, in his mind, the same type of conflict that justified the end of chattel slavery in the mind of Lincoln.

We are at a point where the number of people that work for a living are outnumbered by the number of people that vote for a living.

The very subject denominated "Sociology," in America, has been a preserve--and launch pad--for those who embrace Jacobin, Marxist, Bolshevik & Fabian pursuits of a Totalitarian leveling of humanity. While the two crack-brained individuals, named here, may have systematized the assault on truth & nature, the underlying assault has been much broader.
It is multi-sourced, appealing to both compulsion driven neurotics seeking uniformity of the human condition, and to demagogues like Robespierre, Marx, Lenin, Hitler & Obama, who see the Egalitarian compulsion & the play on the basest of human emotions, as a key to the aggrandizement of self--a key to the ability to strut as the "Leader."
I have, today, posted as the August feature at the Truth Based Logic Domain, Egalitarian Collectivism Sabotages The Human Potential.
Having challenged these malevolent poseurs ever since my own school days, it is my experience, that they are the ultimate pseudo-intellectual bullies. They mislead & intimidate trusting undergraduates, but never debate those who actually understand what is involved. My prayer is that America will yet wake up to the fact that no one--absolutely no one, but demagogues & scoundrels--actually benefits from what has been going on.

We’ve had em before.
Every time Al Sharpton wakes up in a grumpy mood he tries to gather a crowd and calls it a “day of rage.”

Mao did the same and starved tens of millions of his adoring subjects.
His picture still hangs over the Forbidden City across from Tianmen Square and the Chinese think he’s some kind of God.
