Texas Gov. Rick Perry : Is 2012 GOP Presidential Nod His for the Taking?
International Business Times ^ | Aug. 5, 2011 | Elisha Maldonado

Posted on 08/05/2011 8:58:07 AM PDT by Clairity

Despite having not yet announced his candidacy, many are seemingly already considering Texas Gov. Rick Perry as the man with the best chance to defeat President Barack Obama in 2012.

Under his stewardship, Perry has created more jobs than any other state in the country in recent years. The Dallas Federal Reserve estimated that all of the jobs created in the country in the two years from April 2009, a low of 37 percent (2009) to high off 48 percent (recently) were created in Texas.

Perry also supplies substance-starved citizens with a deep-rooted belief system. From the surface, his deepest views have not changed much since his early days in a cotton-farming community in Paint Creek in the 1950s.

"We believed in God, we believed in taking care of ourselves and one another, and we believed that America was the greatest nation on earth," he wrote in the preface to "Fed Up," the book he wrote last year.

>>> You are a cheerleader for mediocracy.<<<

Are you jealous? Just never cut out for cheerleader, at A&M, huh? It’s that long face you’re wearing, the whining and the chip on your shoulder. Where can you find a candidate that matches all those charactoristics? Well, it won’t be Rick. Cheer up, things are turning fun again. See ya on the track.

YOU call my perfectly accurate post “misleading” by posting an extremely deceptive post where Perry actually pretends to be a Christian?

Wow!

Christian Ministers all over the country are denouncing Perry as a fake Christian.

Glad to see cripplecreek is awake and throwing bombs again on the Perry threads. Trying to create division among conservatives is not usually a conservative tactic, it reminds me more of the Alinsky Liberals.

Tell me exactly what is inaccurate in my statement. A significant component of the palin(tm) machine is the possibility that she might run. Take that away and her market value drops.

When the bots get the drift their candidate is not running, it’s going to get frisky as they come down off the ledge.

“Last August, when President Barack Obama came to Austin for a fundraiser, Perry met him at the airport and tried to hand him a letter asking for National Guard troops. (He gave the letter to an Obama aide.)”

THAT is the event of the picture you posted. Perry asking Obama for National Guard troops to secure the border.

I thought Perry was going to be the man until a friend sent me an e-mail with an article in it by Kelleigh Nelson . This guy is not what the country needs. I checked with my "ex" who lives in Texas and she confirmed the material in the article.

Get serious!

All Perry threads are bombs, and excruciatingly deceptive.

Perry is a globalist/socialist trojan horse that has worked his entire career for open borders.

They won’t believe it until AFTER the Nov 2012 general election.

Ostriches have nothing on some FReepers burying their heads in the sand, while chanting, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah.

(which I doubt, given his being a former demrat)

So was Ronald Reagan who turned out to be our greatest president in recent years.

I really think Palin’s plan is to endorse Perry.

No Republican can win without independents. Palin can’t carry them.

If I had thought for a moment Sarah would have actually run and I did 18 months ago, I could have followed along longer, but look at the record since then. There is no $$$elebrity for her without milking that love and hate war. She seems to want to keep that thing going regardless of what it has done to her followers and the now nasty infighting. Seeing that strategy carried out, what other conclusion could a thinking person draw? All this “ugly” can’t be lost on her, and yes, it’s pathetic.

Although I’m glad to see your respect for him, your uncle is just one Texan. Many of us are proud of the Governor’s accomplishments and conservativism. He’s pro-life, pro-family, pro-business, pro-2nd amendment, and strong on controlling the border. He has shown that he will not stand quietly while attacked personally or while his family, State and even his dog are threatened.

“President Fox’s vision for an open border is a vision I embrace.”

“We cannot have homeland security without border security.”

How John Kerryish.

I think she’s using her power to build up the good candidates and to get the MSM to show their true colors and agenda while inadvertently or grudgingly tell the story of Conservatives - even if they are mocking her.

If you liked George Bush, you will love Rick Perry.

It's DUMB analogy. While Bush was running up massive debt, Perry was running an 11 billion dollar surplus in Texas before the recession kicked in 2008.
