Hardly two days had passed after U.S. President Barack Obama celebrated his 50th birthday with a fundraising party for his second-term campaign that his presidency endured one of its darkest days.

Faced with a backlash over the acrimonious debt deal and America's downgraded AAA credit rating, he was briefed with the shock news America had endured its largest casualty yet in the decade-long War in Afghanistan on Saturday morning.

While the nation mourns the loss of 30 American Special Forces troops killed in action, the president has yet to speak on the downgraded Standard and Poor (S&P) rating.

And as the race heats up for the 2013 election, he is faced with sharp criticism from presidential hopefuls - after a potentially serious blow to the nation's struggling recovery.

Tragic development: U.S. President Barack Obama holds a conference call from Camp David, Maryland today after a NATO helicopter crashed during a battle with the Taliban in Afghanistan The terrible development twenty two Navy Seals from the unit that killed Osama bin Laden were among those lost in a helicopter shot down by the Taliban in Afghanistan came on Friday night.

They were among 31 American Special Forces troops and seven Afghan soldiers who were killed when a rocket-propelled grenade destroyed their Chinook helicopter.

Apparently 25% of the self indentified “conservatives” are very confused individuals.

2013 elections?

Oops.

Sorry, slip of the tongue.

That announcement wasn't supposed to come until after the Jun 2012 presidential decree of marshal law.

25% of Conservatives and 26% of republicans approve of Obama's performance?

I'm calling BS on these numbers.

Surely no one expects Barky to interrupt his weekend with a reassuring message to the nation

On the other hand, he has way over exposed himself on the “message to the nation” schtick

Most people prefer to watch Pawn Stars

BTW, who are these 25% of “conservatives” that give obama a high approval rating??? Would that be the John McCain branch of conservative thinking?

Save the heartache. He doesn’t care...not about the American people, not about our magnificent Troops, not about crushing the economy and our future, not about any of it. Barry is just not that into us.

These are the same people who identify themselves as conservative in those polls that show there are more conservatives than liberals in U.S. If there were more conservatives we would not be in such a mes.

the president has yet to speak on the downgraded Standard and Poor (S&P) rating.

I'll sum it up for you.

Bush's fault, S&P's fault, Republican's fault, Tea Party's fault.

a reassuring message to the nation

There's absolutely nothing that PØS could read off the teleprompter that would be worth .1% of a tinker's damn.

hØssein is traitorous filth, and opening his yap at all is hypocrisy/deceit/concealed glee of the highest imaginable order.

Maybe they are the Christian equivalents of the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad “Twelfth Imam Corps” who want the end to come quickly.

Obama largest character flaw is starting to really show

Too bad his character flaw isn't he's a sex fiend like Al Gore or a intern chaser like Bill Clinton, or pervert like Antonio Wiener.

At least with these character flaws they simply are a reflection on their own personal lives

Obama character flaw is he has no LEADERSHIP and it's dragging the whole country down
