He was a half hour late. His head turned from side to side as if he were attending a tennis match. He practically never looked in the camera, as if he were averting our gaze. And those were the strong parts of President Obama

seems to me that most think that he is either totally evil or completely incompetent; but I’m not sure if anyone thinks he may be both. but that may be the one answer that explains things and makes any sense...

Do you remember that disastrous budget that Obama put out in Feb or March? Everyone said that he wasn’t serious? Well, the Democrats in the Senate went to work and put together spending bills to match that budget and they are all sitting in committee, waiting to brought to the floor when the time is right.

We’re getting close to that now (in their minds).

True, but as I said earlier, there was a time not so long ago WAPO would have spiked that column. The thing is that there are more such articles and columns making it to print. The media is trying to save their ‘credibility’ by easing in to the inevitable.

Too many people lost fortunes today and the gen public is about to get broadsided hard when recent events manifest in taxes, higher prices and so forth.

They are turning on him and he will be 25th or impeached. The whole congress will not fall on their swords for him and will try saving themselves from electoral hell come 2012...

“See? we got rid of him now vote for us!!”

I really think this is the tipping point. Perhaps I’m wrond, but I doubt it.

He talks because he loves the sound of his voice. I’m surprised they don’t put a huge mirror in front of him so he can adore himself.

This man is a jerk and needs to be impeaches so he can’t do more damage.

What I saw was someone whose world is collapsing. His heart was in his throat and he was on autopilot, reading a prepared speech as quick as he could so he could get out of there. It was completely the same response and actions you get when you corner a BS’r and trap them in their lies.

“Nope, he was more like 45-50 minutes late. What was he doing? Having lunch? Finishing a cigaret? Filling out his bracket picks? Planning his next vacation? Throwing up?”

Snorting lines of cocaine.

A friend of my wife a standard liberal happened to be here when BO made his unspeach. I held my tongue and was amazed when this woman, who is an LCSW, said “Obama is passive aggressive to an extreme degree. That is the worst personality type possible for a public leadership position. He is always going to be defending himself and will never lead. Even a florid sociopath would be better. Edward Edwards at over 80 and a convicted felon would be a far better man for the job (we live inLouisana) . The US needs a heroic figure and we have a peevish adolescent in charge.” That was from a real lib and all I could say was “You are unfortunately correct.”

“there’s another WP piece covering for the Won and saying that says Obama’s only fault in the speech was the timing”

Washington Post plays to its audience in the DC region, which is loaded with federal employees who feed at the government trough. Warren Buffett, a big lib, also has a substantial investment in the paper and no doubt has some influence on its left wing views.

Every American needs to read Thomas Jefferson's First Inaugural, which lists what he called "the essential principles" of the Executive (Administration), as well as George Washington's Valedictory.

Armed with just those two presidential speeches, even the most dense citizen can see the difference between today's philosophy of government and that which existed when liberty was the passion of both citizens and their elected officials in government.

"To preserve [the] independence [of the people,] we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses, and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they now do, on oatmeal and potatoes, have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account, but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers." --Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. ME 15:39

"I deem [this one of] the essential principles of our government and consequently [one] which ought to shape its administration:... The honest payment of our debts and sacred preservation of the public faith." --Thomas Jefferson: 1st Inaugural, 1801. ME 3:322

"I sincerely believe... that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity under the name of funding is but swindling futurity on a large scale." --Thomas Jefferson to John Taylor, 1816. ME 15:23

"[With the decline of society] begins, indeed, the bellum omnium in omnia [war of all against all], which some philosophers observing to be so general in this world, have mistaken it for the natural, instead of the abusive state of man. And the fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression." --Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. ME 15:40

"The citizens of the United States of America have the right to applaud themselves for having given to mankind examples of an enlarged and liberal policy worthy of imitation. All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship. It is now no more that toleration is spoken of as if it were by the indulgence of one class of citizens that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights, for happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens in giving it on all occasions their effectual support." George Washington, letter to the Hebrew Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island, September 9, 1790

"The consciousness of having discharged that duty which we owe to our country is superior to all other considerations." George Washington, letter to James Madison, March 2, 1788

"The Constitution which at any time exists, 'till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People is sacredly obligatory upon all. George Washington, Farewell Address, September 19, 1796

"The establishment of Civil and Religious Liberty was the Motive which induced me to the Field — the object is attained — and it now remains to be my earnest wish & prayer, that the Citizens of the United States could make a wise and virtuous use of the blessings placed before them. George Washington, letter to the Reformed German Congregation of New York City, November 27, 1783

"The foundation of our Empire was not laid in the gloomy age of Ignorance and Superstition, but at an Epocha when the rights of mankind were better understood and more clearly defined, than at any former period. . . ." George Washington, Circular to the States, June 8, 1783

"The foundations of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality, and the preeminence of free government be exemplified by all the attributes which can win the affections of its citizens, and command the respect of the world." George Washington, First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789

"The hour is fast approaching, on which the Honor and Success of this army, and the safety of our bleeding Country depend. Remember officers and Soldiers, that you are Freemen, fighting for the blessings of Liberty — that slavery will be your portion, and that of your posterity, if you do not acquit yourselves like men." George Washington, General Orders, August 23, 1776

If that’s true we all here at FR might as well whip up the Kool Aid and go out with a bang and save ourselves the grief.

Like I said, might be wrong but do you really think Dems just rendered broke from his BS are gonna support him? Dream on indeed.
