I expect things will go harshly for the protesters when they encounter the newly formed neighborhood militias.

Absolutely not! they would protect buckingham palace and it’s occupants with deadly force if needed. It’s the regular brit on a sidestreet they don’t give a flying fornication about.
I am guessing it was because they were serving a warrant for a person who was known to be armed. But for the most part officers in many countries go unarmed.
An armed yute did kill an unarmed officer. Their version of SWAT found the guy and killed him. Thats when the riots started.

Reports of rioting are coming in from Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.
If Her Majesty's Constabulary can't straighten out this mess and anarchy spreads, I'm wondering if the Muslims might step in and start to enforce their own version of law and order in their own areas.
The British public might rather welcome this, if it is the only alternative to anarchy.

The more liberal Britain has gotten, the less will the government has to deal with the invasion of immigrants who care nothing for the British culture. Hell, the majority of them come there to get on their welfare system.
Originally I think not. From what I gather it’s more youths from multicultural neighborhoods that “suffer” from not “having things”.
In the meantime the riots are spreading to Birmingham and Liverpool and there are reports of it becoming more racially oriented.
Who the hell knows. I say they need to call in the Army.
Have you seen the movie `Children of Men’? It had some intense scenes of close quarters street fighting between British soldiers and—I don’t really know how to describe them ... “disgruntled foreign guests”?
Both using fully automatic weapons, the British using armored vehicles. Nobody sane wants that, they need to stamp this out now. On the subject of those not sane, the children of Allah are sitting by and watching closely how all of this plays out.
