Two GOP Senators Survive Wisconsin Recall Elections

Two GOP Senators Survive Wisconsin Recall Elections

Millions invested in elections for six GOP senators in what could be 2012 battleground state

By Tom Curry

At least two Republican state senators survived recall elections as votes were counted Tuesday night in Wisconsin in state Senate races which have gained national attention.

The two Republican winners were state Sen Robert Cowles and state Sen. Sheila Harsdorf.

Democrats, organized labor and progressive groups were using the recall effort to seek retribution against six GOP Senate allies of Gov. Scott Walker who enacted a labor law overhaul that ended collective bargaining rights for many public sector workers.

Walker and his allies also enacted a voter identification law and a redistricting plan, which is being challenged in court.

With the split in Wisconsin’s Senate at 19 Republicans and 14 Democrats, a net turnover of three would change party control.

In the 2010 elections, Walker won the governor’s office while the GOP gained four seats in the Senate, giving them the majority.

That is what I was just telling my husband,,,”remember the Prosser election.”

We had no recall to vote in.

We sure saw a lot of horrible ads though!

Please don’t refer to us in Wisconsin as dupes. We are alert and well informed. This is ground zero for Obama and the Unions and O’s political machines have poured nearly $40 million - that’s the truth - into these races. This is a minor miracle that with all the voter fraud going on in this state, like duplicate absentee ballots being given and mailed to inner city and Madison voters (sure Dem votes) that the upstanding hardworking conservatives are even CLOSE in this race.

I will admit the GOP of WI has done little or nothing to help our cause. The national GOP has their McConnel, Boehner head under the desk, too. We conservatives here in WI have been pounded on, screamed at, been called terrorists, been lied about and we’re still squeaking out some EXCELLENT victories tonight.

We here in WI are showing the country what we’re made of. We will NOT be bought out, will not give up and will NEVER give in. The two Dem’s (should have been all 14 of the fleebag Dems) will have the recall election next week. IF the Dems win more than one seat tonight even more money will flow in here for next week’s election.

Pray for us and our great state. We love Wisconsin and are trying mostly on our own to be the first wave of the 2012 elections.

These boobs are now referring to WI as “Republican” territory.
Last year it was the birthplace of Unions/Lib stronghold.

Now they’re calling knocking on doors a victory

The Dem voters have no idea what I said or what you concurred on. The founders had it right all along. If you haven’t been through the ringer you will never understand the rinse.

I agree, Even though we lose 2, this is a HUGE win for the GOP. Even if for some reason it becomes 3, it will galvanize the voters next week and return one very vulnerable Fleebagger to civilian life.

Most people don’t know how Democrat Wisconsin has traditionally been, that’s why even though I’m in GA I sent them a few bucks. The fact that the union thug machine spent approximately $166/voter and didn’t get a majority will break their back. There is no doubting this. If you add up the amount of money they spent between Prosser and this election, and failed on both, that is a heck of a lot of cash that won’t be going towards Obama’s misinformation campaign in 2012. Keep that in mind.

>>Darling will win this - much of Milwaukee has reported and most of Waukesha has not <<

I hope you’re right about that because right now the Dems have won two of the three seats they need. Three of the Reps have won also, so it comes down to Darling’s race tonight.

If she loses, there’s going to be millions of dollars poured into northern WI next week where the weaker of the two Dems faces recall on Tuesday.

You certainly have a neighbor to your West preying for you and the rest of the great state of Wisconsin!

We were a few votes shy here in Minnesota from having the set up for the same battle ground you are going through and I'm glad you guys are leading the way!

Wisconsin conservatives = dupes ... not a chance!

God speed proud badger!

I believe it. In my neck o the woods, McCain spent $21, 600,000.00 to Hayworths $1,650,000.00.

Amen to that! I am pretty proud of this state tonight and of late. Even though my district (Kapanke) has lost the overall election is a win for conservatives throughout WI. I hope we can even win a few seats back next week.
