Walker recall expected to proceed By: David Catanese August 10, 2011 11:53 AM EDT
MADISON, Wis. Democrats are forging ahead with efforts to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker next year, one day after losing four of six recall elections to oust GOP state senators.
The Tuesday night losses left Democrats a single seat short of overturning GOP control of the states upper chamber, though Democratic officials and operatives on the ground insisted Wednesday that their two wins in Republican-leaning areas exposed Walkers weaknesses.
If we can do all of this against entrenched Republicans on their own turf, imagine our success when all of Wisconsin can have its voice heard on Gov. Walkers extreme, divisive agenda, Wisconsin state party chairman Mike Tate wrote in a memo to reporters Wednesday.
The historic gains made tonight to restore balance and accountability to our state, and restore Wisconsin values, will continue when the entire state weighs in on the November 2012 elections and with the recall of Scott Walker himself, Tate said.
Standing before a cheering crowd of partisans on the Majestic Theatre stage late Tuesday when it was still uncertain whether Democrats would flip control of the Senate an animated Tate was even more defiant: We will not stop, we will not rest, until we recall Scott Walker from the state of Wisconsin.

If they want to waste their money, go right ahead.
Don Quixote just fell off his horse.
I’m sure glad I don’t have to foot the bill for this ridiculous farce.
God remains watching over WI and our TEA Party Republicans.
Hate shall not prevail.
Bring it......dufus
Walker has a head start using the governors office to promote the benefits of what he accomplished, as long as they continue to be visible,
Seeing Walker survive a recall will kill those socialists
You are right.
The more money the Dems, unions, and other left-wing agents spend on low value projects like these recall elections, the less money they’ll have in their warchest for real elections.
It makes me think that some union members are really Republicans in disguise.
The parasites are now attacking the host, openly. Unions are the vehicle to ruin our nation and bankrupt us, wholly.
Recall Walker? You Soros-tard.
I hate Wisconsin Nazis.
The deranged left believes Walker kills teachers
Wisconsin Teacher in Apparent Suicide, Distraught Over Walkers Cuts

Jeri-Lynn Betts, an early childhood teacher in the Watertown, Wisconsin, school district, died on March 8 of an apparent suicide.
A colleague says she was very distraught over Gov. Scott Walkers attacks on public sector workers and public education.
Sweet.
Burn Baraq’s campaign bucks on this fruitless quest.
The sore losers are slow learners!
A fool and his money is soon departed.
And if either of the Rupubs unseats a Dem senator next week, a recall attempt will be suicide.
I see. So the six recalls they pursued were against Republicans in safe GOP seats, they left the Republicans in swing districts alone.
That's a really smart strategy.
If they intend to seriously mount an effort to recall a man that just flipped a major financial defect into a surplus, then we are VERY close to them resorting to full blown violence. I would honestly expect the full monty to start upon failure of the recall if not sooner.
If they cannot get him recalled then that is their only option and I have no doubt they will take it. I’m really surprised that rioting didn’t start last night to be honest.
Now that you mention it, I'm thinking we all pay for this sort of stuff. And regular elections, too. That $1B it took to elect Obama, for example. That money had to come from somewhere. For corporate contributions, it's built into the price of goods & services. And in any case, that's $1B that could have been put to use elsewhere (not to deny spin doctors have to eat, too).
That’s a whole bunch of teacher retirement money right down the ol’ outhouse pit.
Dumb and evil.
I hope the unions suck all of the money across the nation into this vain effort to unseat Governor Walker. I hope they depleat their entire elections fund for this effort. Voters now have the “last channel” button and voice mail. They will avoid the union media barrage like the plague and vote more of their toady bums out next time.
Since the gov’t will no longer be witholding union dues, I’d expect the unions to be short on cash by then.
That poster screams: “Look for the Union Label and buy elsewhere.”
Wisconsin needs to remain vigilant: Republicans now have 17 and the socialist enemy has 16. One squishy RINO is all it takes to stop the good that Walker is doing.
In other news, the Wisconsin democrats continue their tantrums.
Next they’ll try holding their breath until everyone gives in to their demands!
That’s OK we’ll fight again and we’ll beat them again.
All these union morons from outside the State pumped a lot of money into our economy over the last 4 months for the honor of getting their asses kicked back home.
Bring more money for the next fight we’ll take that too.
We’ll have a monstrous budget surplus in no time :)
Ping.
The Dems sure are having a tantrum your way.
Good luck over there.
can’t union member request a refund of their portion of their dues going for this fiasco?
Thanks for the ping! It’s very easy to get enough signatures for a recall in Wisconsin but all I can say is BRING IT ON! We will win a recall by a landslide.
These people define the word “insanity.”
we’ll see how they feel about that if we knock out the two Dems in the recall next week
Screw you Mike Tate and the horse you rode in on.
Welcome!
Here in New York, the people would vote for a narcoleptic guinea pig, so I can’t really say much about elections.
It’s just that the childish tantrums by the politicians out your way, I can easily see that happening here in New York should the voters buy a clue.
Only here, the unions would crush us.
New York is a wholly owned subsidiary of SEIU.
But good news from your way does give me some hope.
Got to remember to write a check to “Walker for Governor
No, although that is what they want you to believe. Every one of these senators was in a district that Obama carried by significant margins in 2008. They assumed there were enough Dems and independents to make the difference.
If you look at the 2 seats they actually did win back, in one district, Obama carried the 2008 vote by over 20%. In the other district, the GOP senator was recently caught cheating on his wife with a 20-something staffer. While that would not be a negative for a Dem, GOP voters have a higher moral standard, and voted him out (but only by 1100 votes). Also, this district was made more GOP friendly in the recent redistricting, so the GOP will get it back in 2012.
Is it one or two years he has to be in office before he can be recalled. If it’s two they can’t have the vote until two years AFTER he was sworn in.
One
where’s the contribution link?
Whoops... correction: it was the Wisconsin Education Association (WEA) that I left. I mixed it up with the AFT, which was the union when I worked in Illinois. :)
The thugocrats' initial talk was getting Walker recalled early in 2012, the first chance he is eligible for a recall. They're backing off of this now, which bodes well for Walker.
I'm hoping next Tuesday will restore the initial advantage to the Republicans. Please donate to Steitz and Simac if you can.
One other benefit if we can knock off the two Dems next week is that we'll be likely trading marginal, moderate Republicans for much more conservative ones.
“If they want to waste their money, go right ahead.”
and on a side note, it does help the economy now doesn’t it....Hotels, Restaurants, advertising and the list goes on... hahaha Have at it union orgs.
I think I'll listen. I don't want to put Americans out of work, but I'm tired of watching these thugs wreck our country with their greed and hate.
Au contraire. All of these Republicans up for re-election yesteday were in iffy Districts. All were in districts that elected Obama in 2008 (except — perhaps — Alberta). Since Alberta Darling’s district combines several Assembly districts, some of her district went for Obama and a small part elected McCain!
They formed a coalition of blacks, aliens, homosexuals, asiatics, non-christians which is within millimeters of establishing total control of all aspects of our daily lives right down to what people eat. They have captured the courts, the congress and the executive and are daily placing their members in positions of authority. The coalition is seizing the economy for the exclusive benefit of its members. They have passed laws preventing discussion of their misrule: i.e. "Hate Crime" laws, laws taking control of access to private property and employment. They are even gaining control of the decision to allow the innocent to live or die.
They are not afraid to beat the Holy H*ll out of any potential opposition. They can call forth a mob in seconds and with one word send the mob home.
It does not look good for our side. The conservative has produced no person or group of persons effective against the abovementioned.
