Katherine appears in the mag's September issue.

Handling the overwhelming media attention from her parent's scandalous split wasn't an easy feat for Katherine Schwarzenegger.

The oldest daughter of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver is speaking out in Harper's Bazaar and addressing the love-child scandal that rocked her family – and the country.

"Me and my siblings have never really been in the spotlight growing up," the 21-year-old tells the magazine. "My parents always really sheltered us, so when [the scandal] started happening, it was like everything came out of nowhere overnight."

“Everything happens for a reason” is among the dumbest things ever said. I cringe when I hear it...

I beg to differ with you begging to differ with me.

Use the link to the original article and take a look at the photo of mother and daughter tete a tete.

The resemblence is striking.

Wishing you nothing but the best, Katherine.

Now let's see if you earn it.

“me and my siblings?” That would be “My siblings and I.” What California school did she attend?

I’ve read whole articles dedicated to this point of grammar.

“Me and my siblings” IS in fact CORRECT.

>If she’s going to enter the field, “me and my siblings” ain’t gonna hack it.<

.
No sweat, most of the MSM never noticed.

She is not her father or mother. She has done nothing wrong. Being the child of divorced parents, life is tough enough.

Amen to that. Especially if they're famous parents.

People, just leave the girl alone and cast the first stone somewhere else. She sounds like a 21 year old girl.

Why not pray that she turns out normal instead.

With parents like she has, the odds aren't in her favor.

I’ll withhold comments on the parents. I’m sure she loves them and wishes them happiness.

Well stated. She is in a complicate situation. Her dad, whom we can assume she loves, has done something pretty awful. Her mom, whom we also assume she loves, is an idiot. And their family issues are being played out in front of the entire world.

She can't win, the best she can hope for is some sort of internal acceptance equilibrium.

Pretty girl -- looks like she got the best of mom and dad -- definitely dad's nose :)

“Her mother looks like a walking skeleton.”

Actually I met Maria when she was about this one’s age and she was a bit on the plump side.

“”Me and my siblings have never really been in the spotlight...”

Correct English?

“Me has never really been in the spotlight....”

It’s similar to Obama’s statement: “President Bush has invited Michelle and I to the White House.”

You’d never say, “President Bush has invited I to the White House.”

O.K. I'm looking at it. She looks as much like her father as she does her mother. Like I said. At least she had her father's genes to add some bulk to her.

Are you sure, sinanju?

My understanding is that in order to be correct, the sentence should still "work" if you remove the second 'party.' In other words, "Me and my siblings have never really been in the spotlight growing up," won't make sense if you take out the "my siblings": "Me have (or has) never really been in the spotlight growing up".

On the other hand, if the sentence were worded as "My siblings and I have never really been in the spotlight growing up", then it would still work with the removal of the siblings: "I have never really been in the spotlight growing up."

Of course, I'm certainly open to correction if I'm wrong!

“Me and my siblings”.....

I had the same thought. But, I hear English misused so often with the younger generation. I do not think our schools are making corrections to improper use of the language. She should know better than to use such a phrase instead of the correct: “my siblings and I”...

She is DEFINITELY not guilty. Wow. I was not expecting a Kennedy to be so beautiful. Although Maria was gorgeous in her day.

I love how FREEPERS turn on people so easily. A few years ago he was the big hero on this site. It happens all the time. The only people who really are still heros on here is Rush and Sarah. The rest of the FREEPER Gods have fallen including Arnold. That is why I don’t get on the hero of the month fan club which currently is Perry in Texas. I am sure he will disappoint at some point. The worst was that Brown in Mass. where there was some heavy orgasmic nonsense going on. I KNEW he would not be the conservative that FREEPERS thought he would be, but you can never tell them that especially during that time of euphoria. Just won’t happen.
