Palin: Could I Support Somebody Like Mitt Romney? Yeah
DES MOINES, Iowa 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said Friday that she still hasnt decided if shes going to run for president. Palin is also undecided about whom she would endorse if she ultimately decided against entering the race. Swarmed by media and supporters at the Iowa State Fair, the former governor of Alaska told The Daily Caller that shes not concerned that Mitt Romney is considered the frontrunner at this time. No, nothing worries me at this point, Palin told TheDC. Could I support somebody like Mitt Romney? Yeah. When TheDC pointed out that some tea partiers have pledged to make sure Romney doesnt get the nomination, Palin said, Im of the mind of ABO Anybody But Obama, at this time.
Again, Anybody but Obama? So you would rather have Obama?
Oh I forgot...
She supported McCain. You really think if Romney gets the nod, Bachmann won’t support him? Keep dreaming.
I’m trying to stay out of this sh*t. Really.
“Could I support somebody like Mitt Romney? Yeah....I’d love to run for VP again.......”
#15 gives an explanation. She would support the ‘pub candidate, even if romney. I wouldn’t.
#15
I would not read more into this than a pledge to not run as an independent or third party.
I’ve never voted for a democrat.
??????
Major Puke.
Anybody got the video link on this? I gotta see this myself.
Anybody got the video link on this? I gotta see this myself.
“Er, where did I post anywhere that Palin ENDORSED Romney or this comment means she would ENDORSE Romney? I didnt. The original article I posted included the ABO - Anybody But Obama line.”

Er, just found it odd that you didn’t post what the “update” to this article said. That just seems like an odd thing to leave off considering the article’s title...don’t you think?
“I would expect more from FREEPERS!”
Not when PDS is involved.
Just released: The long-awaited print edition of Mitt Romney’s Deception — His Stealth Promotion of “Gay Rights” and “Gay Marriage”in Massachusetts!
POSTED: July 20, 2011
MassResistance researcher Amy Contrada’s blockbuster book, Mitt Romney’s Deception is now available in print edition. (See ordering information below!)
It is the most complete coverage yet of Mitt Romney’s record on these issues, as well as an overall review of how “gay marriage” and the homosexual agenda in the schools came to Massachusetts — and ultimately to the rest of the country.
What most Americans probably don’t know about Mitt Romney
The Mitt Romney who is introducing himself to voters on television and in early Republican primary states is a well-scrubbed version of the man who governed Massachusetts for four years. Mitt Romney’s Deception reveals what the former Massachusetts Governor actually did regarding the important social issues of the day — and sounds a warning as to what he would likely do as President of the United States.
Amy Contrada
Contrary to Gov. Romney’s claim that he defended marriage, the Constitution, traditional values, and religious freedom, he actually undermined them.
Contrada’s research will prove invaluable in assessing Mitt Romney as a Presidential candidate. Focusing on the issue of “gay rights,” Contrada documents his largely untold history as Governor.
During those years (2003-2006), Romney:
* Worked closely with homosexual activists and pro-gay rights advisors
* Implemented “gay marriage,” violating the Massachusetts Constitution
* Pushed a constitutional amendment strategy doomed to failure, and ignored the call to remove the “gay marriage” judges
* Funded and promoted GLBT indoctrination in the public schools through his Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and his Department of Education “Safe Schools” programs
* Undermined religious freedom, failing to defend Catholic Charities in the “homosexual adoptions” fiasco
* Continued or implemented radical GLBT programs in his executive departments
And the ABO line was in the article I posted. But I have no problem with her being pissed at the Daily Caller. It’s just a Politico wannabe site for RINOs.
I understand where you are coming from, but I’ll actively vote against anyone who’ll work with the liberals to continue pressing their agenda. I’d rather lose the White House than put Willard there. Blasphemy I know, but he can do far more harm than Present Obama who hates this work thing.
I guess it is okay now on FR to post cr@p articles that give untrue misleading headlines from sources with the name “weasel” it it????
Seems like certain people here are capable of imagining any flimsy excuse to disregard the only (potential) candidate who truly holds Tea Party values and would act accordingly if elected.
Good grief, the media are playing us like a fiddle! They’re trying to make conservatives turn against Palin before she’s even entered the race, and sadly many are falling for this crap.
OK wow, you’re really parsing words there....ABO is a much better explanation. Amy Kremer with Tea Party Express basically said the same thing - that TPE would support Romney if he got the nomination.
Well I already said today that if Palin uses her Sept. 3rd TP speech to endorse Perry, I’m done with her. And if Romney gets the nod, I simply will not fall into the ABO camp like her.
Yep! She shoulda said ... "I would support Obama"!
She supported McCain...TWICE! She supported McCains carbon trading and taxing scheme. She’s slick. Like West, she talks a good game.
She supported McCain...TWICE?
I hope the mods and JR will put a stop to the PDS crap. It’s getting totally out of control.
I posted what was on Weasel Zipper’s site. It was a link on a twitter post. That’s where I first saw it. How does the update dispute what I posted?
Unless she’s slated to be the VP, that might be why she said that. Else, agreed.
There is a surprising number of FReepers who:
a. Can't be bothered to read an entire news article
b. And automatically accept the accuracy of MSM headlines without question -- especially if they accuse a Republican of some egregious act.
Don't ask why...
This is your tagline, but you don't seem to follow your own advice. It happens also to be the sentiment expressed by Sarah Palin.
Whether you intentionally ignored her correction - that she did not endorse Romney - or were not aware of it, the fact is that she clearly stated that she does not endorse him.
She's sold out to the establishment!
Are you quite well? I made no comment on whether it was a good or bad answer. Maybe you have me mixed up with another poster:^)
There are actually quite a few pics of Obama looking demonic all taken at different times.
I’m sorry but I see nothing offensive in what was posted. Certainly no reason to go to Jim and the Mods. Basically what Palin said is anyone but Obama in 2012. Surely Free Republic would agree with that? I certainly do not want to see Mitt Romney as the nominee but if we’re stuck with him like we were with McCain in 2008 I’ll hold my nose and vote for him. All Palin was saying is she would do the same.
If the alternative is Barack Hussein Obama, easy!
She has been bought and paid for by the establishment?
Let him sell his snake oil in the private sector.
He is more dangerous than the camel jockey raghead subhumans to our Republic.
HE CAN'T BE TRUSTED AND WILL SAY OR DO ANYTHING TO GAIN ELECTIVE OFFICE.
He ought to smarten up and stick to raping small time investors before he gets hurt.
Regardless of whether or not she gets in, I really don't see her endorsing anyone in the primary.
With that posture (hand positions.. facial gesture), I thought he looked like an ADD kid (maybe around 12yo)... a mentally retarded kid.. or maybe a mixture of both :p
and I am not joking at all... and no offense intended for the kids either X(
You got it and a lot of the media-idiots are posting here on FR... trolling Freepers like smelt....
Actually, I heard this on FOX news a hour or two ago. She must have said it.
I don’t like Romney, but I can see why she may have said what she did.
For President and then after getting stabbed in the back by his advisors and family, she supported him for re-election as Senator in the last election.
I confirmed the website and the article.
The website opens and the article is indeed on the front page but down a ways
Good grief, where have I EVER posted on FR that Palin endorsed Romney? Or that this comment was equal to endorsing Romney? Sorry but putting words in my mouth won’t work. I agree with Palin. Anybody but Obama. And if she decides to run and gets the nomination I’ll be voting for her.
Both Romney and Perry can get stuffed as far as I’m concerned.
Look at the way her supporters pile on Perry for supporting Giuliani in 2008.
How is supporting Romney any different?
