Obama's Approval Rating Plummets in New York By Caitlin Huey-Burns - August 12, 2011
President Obama's approval rating has taken a sharp dive in the Democratic stronghold of New York, according to a new survey released Friday.
A Quinnipiac University poll found 49 percent of voters disapprove of the job Obama is doing as president, while 45 percent approve, marking the first time the president's approval numbers have been under water in a Quinnipiac poll taken in the Empire State. Obama has seen his numbers drop sharply since a June Quinnipiac survey in which 57 percent approved of his performance and 38 percent did not.
The poll's director, Maurice Carroll, said in a statement that the congressional drama over raising the nation's debt ceiling "devastated President Barack Obama's numbers even in true blue New York."

It’s 45-49 in NY, but WaPO had it at 44-47 nationwide the other day? It seems to me that if something major happens with the postal union in the risk time-frame that the post office has announced, either major layoffs or a strike, Obama will be in the twenties overnight.

Obama brought along the White House photographer sort of 'incognito' to get a photo of him saluting, in an effort to make him look like an actual leader for campaign usage. The transparently and consistently self-serving Zer0 was trained to bow, not to salute (except for political necessity). He's not heartbroken for the loss of these fine men. This destructive, anti-American, anti-military, socialist cypher has no right, whatsoever, to return any salute... but the show must go on. He'll do whatever he wants regardless of the Pentagon or grieving families' desires. This administration was so self absorbed with winning the next election it revealed to our enemies the unit involved in the Bin Laden raid, putting a target on these soldiers. They now have the blood of these defenders of our freedom on their hands. Then he insults us with this photo op. Our country deserves better than this, and so do the fallen. |

This is the logical result of his base being centered in socialist dumps like the northeast and upper midwest; these places are easily hit the worst by this economy, because their spending level was so much higher than real “American” states.
As local governments lay off people, and companies trim fat (especially tokens), the base was absolutely hit hard.

If he is down to 45% in NY it is hard to believe it would be a 44 approval nationally. If he is going down that badly in one of his best states then the overall national numbers ought to be lower.
If Obama’s ratings are plummeting in NY, it’s probably because they don’t think he’s far enough to the left.
If obuma loses New York state, the only states he wins are New Hampshire, Lichenstein and France.
Even Democrats are comparing Obama to Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter lost New York to Ronald Reagan in 1980. Any chance Obama could lose New York in 2012?
No, if Obama loses New York, New Hampshire will go Republican by a wide margin. He might have a chance of carrying Vermont.
