GOPyouth: "Open-Borders-for-Illegals When has Perry EVER said that he's for open borders for illegals?"
THE REAL DEAL
GOPyouth: "Rove-created Poser So you're saying that Karl Rove was responsible for him getting elected to public office?"
THE REAL DEAL
GOPyouth: " Rove ran ONE campaign for Perry"
I’m trying to figure out if you’re being facetious.
The first time I’ve heard it from whom? Perry? I really haven’t followed the man... so yes. Given Obama’s downplay of America’s reputation, I was pleased that he mentioned it in his announcement speech.
My mistake, I meant to add ‘from anybody’.
“Hello. My name is Rick Perry and I supported Al Gore.”
The government does not create jobs. But it puts the rules in place to allow for private business to create jobs.
Perry is business friendly and has proven it.
Perry has some positives but he’s got some splainin to do about immigration to make me happy. I don’t want to have to go through another amnesty fight. I was also not wild about the fact that Perry didn’t push to support that anti TSA bill that was recently in front of the Texas legislature. If he had pushed that bill it would have gone a long way toward winning me over.
OH NOEZ, DA BILDABURGS, DA ILLUMINATIZ!!!!
OH NOEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been holding back but someone has to say it. You need a new FReeper screen name.
LOL!!
Look what’s talking!
I really did not know of the protocol of “howdy” at Texas A & M.
I really don’t know anything about the various intricacies of colleges and their traditions and rivalries in Texas, but I will say it seems to rival the complexity of Burke’s Peerage to a yankee like myself.
Fwiw, I thought Perry came across as great in his speech. Very authentic and down to earth.
And he did seem, more than anybody else I’ve seen, even Bachmann, to have the old “fire in the belly”. He seemed to really want to run for president and to win and to be president.
Of course, he came across as though he is always that way about everything. I imagine if he was your dad and he said “Kids, let’s go get ice cream” you know you’d be getting some ice cream, probably 3 scoops!
That might play very well against Obama’s “on the one hand, on the other hand” BS.
However, I know Obama buys his girls ice cream often and is concerned about illegal immigrants and their ability to go get ice cream, and in terms of all that I imagine he and Perry are equally matched.
He’s written $24 billion in debt. In a conservative State like Texas, you should be able to balance the budget. To a large extent, the reason is that he’s been so lax on immigration.
I think before people start spouting off about “Perry this...and Perry that”, they need to get their facts confirmed and ducks in a row; there’s a lot of BS out there about him and the Texas economy. We are doing just fine.
