My DNC delegate uncle told me that the Stimulus bill was pretty much written by June 2008, mostly by a group headed up by Tom Daschle.
Well, now I need citations for what I was told, ESPECIALLY the June 2008 timeline. Anyone have any ideas? I need to show where the Porkulus was never designed to be a "stimulus" but was instead sold as such when the economy tanked.
I’ve never heard of this before, but I’d like to know also.
Won’t give Tom the hits, but I’ll bet he is far better known for authorship of the torpedo that is going to hopefully finally sink his ship. “I have a dream”.
A torpedo called Obama care, If anything in this great country needs to blow up, that would be an awfully good
start.
It seems that the “Stimulus Bill” also contained many health care provisions advanced by Daschle.
What I need help with is the time line. I need to show that Dems knew about this bill, and it was mostly written before the economy tanked in October. My understanding is that it was pretty much done before the DNC Convention, used as a tool to head off any Clinton floor challenge (recall that Hillary won several later primaries).
The reason why the Dems could pass it within hours of its introduction as a Congressional bill is because they knew about it for months.
And, one reason it didn’t work as a “stimulus” is that it was never designed as such.
I don’t know whether or not he wrote the bill, or how much of it he wrote if he did.
I do know that they paraded him around up on Capitol Hill in an Aramani suit just after Obama was inaugurated. It was a clear symbol to Democrat members of Congress that “if you go down fighting the good fight for the agenda, you will be well taken care of”.
The souces in the google searches have dates. Can’t you bother to read them?
I will put aside the snide nature of your remark for a second.
I see dates from after the election. I see the same article posted over and over, saying that it basically looks like Daschle’s work. After 20 years or so in IT, I kinda get Google searches, ya know?
I don’t see anyone on the record saying that Dems went into the DNC convention knowing about this “stimulus” bill (they did). That it was certainly pretty much solidified before the economy tanked (it was) and “sold” using the “stimulus” idea. I used to see these articles online, but can’t find them now.
Now, if any of your results show these things, I will apologize and offer you appropriate beverages.
You posted claimed you "need citations" connecting the stimulus bill and Tom Daschle.
Reading through just the 1st two search results, someone would find a ton connecting Daschle, his book, and his aborted nomination for Obama Sec'y of Health to the Stimulus Bill. Since Betsy McCaughey's work is obviously central to both links, even more sources (than the others in the 1st search) for the connections would obviously be found using her name in a search.
If you actually wanted someone to do the work of reorganizing all the information on the connections, I pass.
It seems that the Stimulus Bill also contained many health care provisions advanced by Daschle.
Indeed!
A little research in the State of SD indicates the
previous governor and Mr Daschle were working together
to speed up the process of the coming medical changes.
The changes were not called obama care at the time but
Tommy two tongues prints were all over what was to come.
Once Mr Obama was elected and given veto proof houses of ill repute,
the FIX was in. I hope he will forever be remembered for what he has
done to this country. His actions finally woke up the sleeping populace.
Too much to hope for, but may they never fall asleep again.
Both the stimulus and Obamacare tie together the rationing.
seems like both bills were preconceived and waiting . Tom Daschle is a big advocate of Obamacare. There were many articles linking him to the bill and the architect of President Obama's health care plan"
It makes sense he would of been involved in both.
Seems like a well planned, prewritten spring board for the whole progressive agenda, waiting for the ONE. Soros progressives slush fund.
