The 6-year-old girl was taken by a stranger from a playground right outside her South Valley home.
The girl lives at the Vista Del Sol mobile home park near Blake and Unser SW.
Police say she was on the playground at around 4pm Monday when a man in a green van pulled up.
An alert neighbor says the man tried to coax the little girl into his van.
The child was being resistant to his enticement and that is what caused him to get out of the car and actually push her into the van, said Officer Robert Gibbs with the Albuquerque Police Department.
The neighbor then jumped into his own car and chased after Phil Garcia, the suspected kidnapper, while calling 911.

Vendomes version of a just and proper punishment:
I would chain his hands and legs, then pull him up four flights of metal fire escape stairs, feet first.
Then I would kicked him in the family jewels just enough to cause a stomach ache every 15 minutes for 8 hours.
After that I would push him out a window letting him fall four stories into a pile of razor wire 5 rolls high and 5 rolls wide.
He could lay in the pile of razor wire for two days in the desert sun and then I would release a flock of crows and 1 gallon of scarabs right next to him.
But thats just me.
I’m waiting for the press to call this man a racist, and create a case where the police will arrest him for harassing and possibly assaulting the perp.
Doubt we’ll have to wait long.
Was she playing alone out there? If so, a charge of child endangerment may be in order for whomever passes for "parent" or "guardian."
Nay, I’d just shoot’em and get it over with. Some Libtard would rescue him ... besides; I’m lazy.
Your rather nice. Personally I would go for something cruel and unusual.
YES!!! A great story. Thanks for posting this.
To much work.
Stake him out selective placement of honey, add red ants.
Naw.
I enjoy the process and have an extraordinary amount of integrity in my work..... /s
It says she was right outside the home. A six year old playing outside is nothing particularly unusual. Heck, at six I was running all over the neighborhood with my friends on bikes.
He's a wolf. Might as well give him the old wolf treatment.
Same here, but it's a very different world now. Really, someone should've been watching.
Too much work. I would simply take a sledge hammer to his feet, ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers. Pulverize them all to dust. Tatoo “child molester” on his forehead. Drop him in a liberal paradise(any inner city) and let him fend for himself.
And to think I USED to have a real mean streak.
You must be part Native American, too. In this case, however, I would recommend tying him up in a wet buckskin bag and leaving him in the sun to dry.
He is. And most cops will say he shouldn’t of done what he did.
I’m not so sure it’s really all that different now. Mom and Dad taught us to be wary of strangers back then too, but even now abductions like this are very, very rare. Most towns go for years without even one. They didn’t all used to be national news, though, so we hear about them more often now. Of course we need to be vigilant like this neighbor thankfully was, but I don’t think the risk is really so high that kids can’t be allowed to go play outside.
The only thing missing from this truly wonderful story would have been if the hero caught up with Garcia and beat him to a pulp.
I though you hung them over a camp fire in a green cow hide.
(Think the movie ‘The Missing’)
