Obama: Tea-party GOP blocking U.S. recovery
The Washington Times ^ | August 16, 2011 | Dave Boyer

Posted on 08/17/2011 8:33:39 AM PDT by upchuck

A day after clashing with a tea party activist, President Obama Tuesday told crowds here that it was “a faction in Congress” that was to blame for blocking economic progress.

At a rural jobs forum, Mr. Obama ticked off a list of pending bills that he said would create jobs.

“The only thing that’s preventing us from passing the bills I just mentioned is the refusal of a faction in Congress to put country ahead of party,” the president said in a thinly veiled reference to House Republicans backed by the tea party. “That has to stop.”

...

Mr. Obama expressed urgency about the unemployment rate of 9.1 percent, saying “time is running out.” But time may also be short for his reelection prospects if the jobless rate remains high. No president in the past 50 years has been reelected with an unemployment rate of more than 7.2 percent.

The president said he will propose in September a specific plan to boost the economy, and he is challenging audiences to tell Republican lawmakers on their August recess to support his upcoming plan.

"time is running out"

Not fast enough bozo, not fast enough.

Gotta love that last paragraph... nobama wants to to beat up on our Reps about a plan he has yet to disclose (and, truth be told, probably hasn't even been created yet).

Another gem not included above:

“I want to enlist your help,” Mr. Obama told a small tickets-only audience in Peosta. “I need your help sending a message to Congress, it’s time to put politics aside and get something done.”
Tickets-only? I thought these were town hall type meetings. Were the tickets free? Were there qualifications to get a ticket? If tickets weren't free, who gets the cash? Are we sure this isn't a campaign trip?

Where was BO from January 2009 to December 2010? The GOP didn’t have a majority anywhere until they took office January 2011, a mere seven months ago. Republicans should hammer that home to the dim bulbs who may have forgotten this.

‘...a list of pending bills that he said would create jobs..’

Reminds me of the well worn out joke about military intelligence.

Well, that's true. But it ain't the TEA Party.

Tea Party: wave some Gadsden flags and yell at politicians.

US Government: suck nearly $4 trillion per year from the US economy either through taxes or borrowing.

Now tell me again which one is preventing a recovery.

I'm going to take a wild guess that Bozo's plan is something about taxing the rich and using that money to stimulate union jobs.

This is like blaming rain on wet streets.

Put politics aside? Is Mr. Obama joking. It’s all about politics.

Remember the last Congress? Remember all that non-partisan work on the Obamacare bill?

If you want to find out what’s in it, you’ll have to pass it first.

Mr. Obama willingly allowed meatheads like Ms. Pelosi draft the damned bill while he headed for the bloody golf course.

Translation:

You TEA PARTY people keep wanting to resist being enslaved by the parasite class. Man, you’re cheap.

“The president said he will propose in September a specific plan to boost the economy, and he is challenging audiences to tell Republican lawmakers on their August recess to support his upcoming plan.”

I expect that his adviser’s told him to leave the room and don’t come back until they had a plan ready...

First two years it was George Bush’s fault. From now on, it will be the tea party and tea party Congressman’s fault.

Rick Santelli Goes Off: “We’d Be BBB Without Tea Party!” (Video)
Gateway Pundit ^ | August 8,2011 | Jim Hoft

Posted on Monday, August 08, 2011 5:03:44 PM by Hojczyk

From the Video: Rick Santelli reacts to President Obama’s blame game when it comes to the downgrade of the United States of America’s credit rating. Santelli says that if it wasn’t for the tea party movement, America’s credit would have been downgraded to BBB.

He also responds to the argument that we have a revenue problem by comparing it to if his wife spending 30% more money then telling him to get 2 more jobs. Hat Tip Ed

Well Mr. POS (recently downgraded from POTUS to POS by Moody's and S&P) since you are at the top of the democrat party you should be able to do something about those democrat congress-critters that are preventing passage of any pro-growth legislation.
