'The Hollywood power couple checked into a mansion with their kids while Brad gets ready to film his zombie movie in Glasgow

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their family enjoyed their first night in the luxury mansion they have picked as their Scottish accommodation. They arrived by private train yesterday and were whisked off to the Carnell Estate Mansion near Kilmarnock.

Brad, Angie and their six kids will make the 16th century mansion home for the next couple of weeks while World War Z is being filmed.

The secluded mansion sleeps 18 guests and is an ideal hideaway for the famous family.

Brad is in town to make the thriller World War Z. Glasgow’s George Square has already been transformed into the streets of Philadelphia.'

Kilmarnock

I had Harris ancestors living there in the early 1800s

Oh, give me a break....lol

Its not every day Hollywood comes to Scotland, let alone Ayrshire. I posted basically an an excuse to post a story about Scotland and to post some nice pics of Ayrshire (and Glasgow in the other thread).

Scotland is great. My daughter went there for 6 months after graduating high school here in Texas. I have nothing against Scotland. Pitt and Jolie on the other hand......

... an excuse to post a story about Scotland and to post some nice pics of Ayrshire

In the early 1990's my boat (submarine) limped into Faslane for repairs. I didn't get to see too much, but I thoroughly enjoyed what I did see. The next morning we started up the reactor and waited for the plane to bring us the parts so we could go back out to sea. That afternoon we were told the parts wouldn't arrive, shut down the reactor and went drinking. Same thing day two. Same thing day three. By the last day I was the only functioning mechanic in the engine room and there was only one sober guy in the control room. The two of us pretty much started up the plant by ourselves, which by the book takes 11 people.

Moral of the story: after 46 days without alcohol don't go drinking with British sailors. And Scotland is beautiful.

“They arrived by private train”? oh yeah....I want to hear this little asswipe complain about the environment one more time after he’s been riding in private trains. Strap him to the tracks and run a cowcatcher up his ass.

Stories like this elevate actor hollyweird types to g*d like figures. No wonder sheeple reality show watchers listen when these stars happen to wander into areas they know nothing about, like politics.

Brad Pitt is annoying, but he's not a complete waste:

You shouldn`t speak until you know what you`re talking about. That`s why I get uncomfortable with interviews. Reporters ask me what I feel China should do about Tibet. Who cares what I think China should do? I`m a f---ing actor! They hand me a script. I act. I`m here for entertainment. Basically, when you whittle everything away, I`m a grown man who puts on makeup.
