The Bad Faith of Michele Bachmann's Gay Rights Inquisitors
American Thinker ^ | August 17, 2011 | Robert Oscar Lopez

Posted on 08/17/2011 4:35:33 PM PDT by Zender500

Michele Bachmann followed up on her Iowa straw poll victory with two Sunday interviews, in both of which she was given ridiculous questions about homosexuality. The gay card seems to be the feint of choice for Democrats and their proxies.

On Meet the Press, David Gregory played back audio from an education conference held about seven years ago, in which Bachmann referred to the gay lifestyle as "personal bondage, personal despair, and personal enslavement." He then asked Michele Bachmann if she could clarify. She answered, "I'm running for the presidency of the United States; I am not running to be anyone's judge."

Gregory asked her if she would ever appoint a gay or lesbian subordinate. Michele Bachmann answered that she would simply hire whoever was qualified. (The same answer she gave earlier about hiring atheists.)

Then Gregory asked her, "Can a gay couple who adopt children in your mind be considered a family?" At last Bachmann put the brakes on Gregory: "You know, all these questions aren't about what people are really concerned about right now."

Though less obnoxious, a similar series of questions surfaced in Bachmann's interview with Jake Tapper. Her answers in both interviews were succinct and professional. CNN's Anderson Cooper led a program examining her views on homosexuality.

Michele Bachmann's statements are perfectly defensible. You have to have a great deal of inside information about the gay and lesbian community to read what she has said correctly. I'll do my best to offer an alternative reading.

Good article. Michele Bachmann dare not talk about it now, but homosexuals do have a lot of personal problems. Gay is not gay.

You’re right. I’ve never met a queer who was truly happy.

I’m waiting for the same inquisitors and to pay their dues to the horrors of gayness and bend over... because this is all about funding for gays, more government funding and cult funding that hurt the tax payer and more enslavement of men and women to men and women of the same sex, government protected system of slavery.

Let them “be” offended, because in the end we know that “the offended” is the perp of the rape, the typical defense of the rapist and entrapper.

The key is to flank them and she has good instincts about that. The emotional and hypocritical offensive of the gays is bothersome, and the left will play that “card” even if it means being pimped by some gay fascist... and that would be funny to watch the right ally with the gays unwittingly to see idiot liberals caught up that way. Poetic justice has already bitten the Clintons and Obama several times.

Gregory is not gay per say, he is a communist moralizer pitting Bachman against another crazy lunatic fringe, and he knows it. He is a scumbag and the weakest of them all, gays or what not. It’s what needs to be shown.

Indeed, responding with a question or “statement challenge question” is a good thing: “Gregory, is Sodomy good for your rectum? Answer this question for us honestly.”

"Gregory asked her if she would ever appoint a gay or lesbian subordinate. Michele Bachmann answered that she would simply hire whoever was qualified. (The same answer she gave earlier about hiring atheists.)"

So much for reapplying DODT in a Bachmann administration I guess.

"Then Gregory asked her, "Can a gay couple who adopt children in your mind be considered a family?" At last Bachmann put the brakes on Gregory: "You know, all these questions aren't about what people are really concerned about right now."

BS! DODT just got repealed, homosexual marriage was just forced on the voters of New York. This is an issue of concern to millions.

What's up with Bachmann, Odonnel, Cain, and West lately? Have conservatives simply given up? Everywhere voters have been given the chance, homosexual marriage has lost at the ballot box-EVEN IN CALIFORNIA!

Ironically, amongst the most prominent and vocal of Michele Bachmann's Gay Rights Inquisitors are Palin supporters/friends Tammy Bruce (who is also vehemently pro-abortion) and Chris Barron of the gay Republican org. GOProud.

The liberal decadent psychiatrists will never admit it, but here is the recipe for unhappiness —

Promiscuous — homosexual men have no restraints — heteoro men may be sex-crazy but their female partners are not — the women tame and civilize the men

High risk of disease — anal sex makes no sense!

Incapable of having a biological child (sperm contribution is a poor substitute for fatherhood)

Unhappy kids of homosexuals, always looking for their real parent(s)

Republican politicians are whimpering, cowering dogs on the homosexual issue. They are totally afraid of the scorn of the liberal media.

My gay brother died after a 12 year battle with AIDS. There is nothing gay about gay, gay kills, plain and simple. Homosexuality is an abomination.

Come on! Here, Gregory is trying to zing her for her Christianity and conservatism, and Bachmann is refusing to take his bait. Her answers are brilliant.

You have it wrong. Michele Bachmann fears no one. If she did, she would have gone on and on for 5 minutes of apologizing.

Sadly, it’s only a matter of time before Palin vs. Bachmann. The media was too early in trying to push it when Sarah Palin didn’t get in. If those two can get rid of Perry, Romney and others, a tall task, it might be like Reagan vs. Bush in 1980.

Socialists are obsessed with other people’s sexual behaviors and rubbing everyone’s noses into the sexual behaviors of gays. Americans are not worried about whether or not candidates are politically correct about anal sex. As homosexual behaviors are a top obsession of the Left, this shows they have not yet figured out unemployment is at an all time high and Americans are suffering from their anti-American Marxist economic policies.

While the limo-socialists obsess about anal sex and everyone’s politically correct celebration of it, Michelle is concerned about the economy and loss of constitutional freedom. And no, she is not celebrating the Left’s demand for compliance with their amorality.

Canidates can turn this around on the Left by painting them as sexually obsessed fools.
