Ron Paul: Perry ‘Makes Me Look Like a Moderate’
Wall Street Journal ^ | August 18, 2011 | Danny Yadron

Presidential candidate Ron Paul, who has long called for abolishing the Federal Reserve, said he now looks “like a moderate” compared with GOP rival and fellow Texan, Gov. Rick Perry, who said it would be “almost treacherous, or treasonous,” if the central bank increased the money supply before the 2012 election.

Referring to Mr. Perry, the Texas congressman told supporters at a campaign event in Concord, N.H., Wednesday that “He realizes that talking about the Fed is good, too. But I tell you what: He makes me look like a moderate.”

Mr. Paul added, “I have never once said [Fed Chairman Ben] Bernanke has committed treason.”

Heard today ronpaul is running some full page ad drumming up anyone willing to lie about Perry, just like ronpaul bud larry flint. How nice. How really close to liberalism libertarianism turns out to be.

Used to think ronpaul was just a harmless fool, turns out to be a subversive SOB.

I’m still waiting for the other 2 or 3 shoes to drop on Perry.

I think his support of the Dream Act in TX is his biggest weakness.

Lots of Texans on here call him RINO.

Everytime that comes up there are at least as many Texans defending him.

In general he seems pretty good. I don't think the perfect candidate exists. I believe he will be a good Pres. in part because the Tea Party doesn't seem willing to just fall in line and support everything the way the Pubs did behind Pres. Bush. A conservative House, a Senate with a majority of Pubs that has more conservatives in it, with a conservative Pres sounds like the opportunity for some good govt.
