Remember, the British elite fear anybody who knows how to use a gun.
That is why they don’t allow their populace to use them.

The Financial Times is a London-based finance-oriented daily newspaper that is sold globally, much like the Wall Street Journal. Their editorial board endorsed Obama in 2008. They are globalist and disdain TEA party conservatives. That the FT views Texas governor Rick Perry as 'unelectable' is hardly a shock. I happen to disagree with the writers analysis of U.S. politics, specifically his premise that Rick Perry - or any conservative - 'scares' independents. Hardly. The 2010 election disproved this theory that only 'moderate' Republicans can win elections. The 2012 election is going to be 'anybody but Obama'. I support Sarah Palin and I believe she'll run. If so, I expect that she'll be the eventual GOP nominee (against the wishes of the Republican establishment), surmount her detractors and win the presidential election. The folks at the Financial Times will be aghast. Too bad.

See no reason why we have to accept an out and out leftist hack as president and even possibly reelect him, but we can’t dare try to elect an actual conservative, and God forbid, a religious human being.

His speech announcing his candidacy included a line as masterful as his attack on the Fed was dumb. Ill work every day to make Washington DC as inconsequential in your life as I can. Compare that with Mr Obamas irretrievably broken promise to change Washington by bringing the parties together. Unfortunately one promise is just as unobtainable as the other.

Perry is the longest serving “active” Governor in the USA.
Perry has been re-elected several time to same position.
Has Obama ever been re-elected to the same position a 2nd time ?
Democrats are scared of any candidate, really scared, scared Sh$#@less even.

Typical republican gaffe: "The sky is blue". Commentators: It's simplistic approaches like this that worry many voters, including many republicans who want a candidate who can appeal to the vast middle in order to be eleted. Doesn't he care that most days the sky is blue AND white with clouds, on many days the sky is dark gray, even black, and that doesn't even take into account the sky being dark at night on fully half theglobe at any give time? Americans who know the old saying "Red sky at morning...." and so forth may be troubled by a candidate who seems to lack the experiences so familiar to most of us. Maenwhile, Obama: "Doctors are performing surgery on little kids just to make money but Obamacare will deny your kids those surgeries" Commentators:

Addition to above: Commentatorson Obama: crickets.
Moral: You cannot have a republican candidate without media claims they are crazy, radical, stupid, etc.

I’m not sure about that but right now Perry looks like our best bet.

Rick Perry happens to be the only one running who can beat Barry.I'm a Texan and think that Rick Perry will make a great President who will do wonders in "fixing" the mess that zero has foisted on the American people. But that being said....Bozo the clown could beat Bozo the current occupant of the WH....but of course as the old saying goes: "They all look alike"....LOL

Welcome to FRee Republic.
If you think a promise to reduce the size and importance of Washington is unobtainable, maybe you'd be more comfortable on another web site.
The rest of us have been working and donating for years to make that very thing happen.

Earlier on another thread:
CW: The power vacuums (little time bombs) created by Obama (intentionally in my view) in all government departments, as well as his refusal to be a strong U.S. president in world affairs, is what is behind our rapid national decline (and growing chaos).
Obama's "re-set" of America is giving other countries the opportunity to fill this vacuum -- just as Obama and his czars have designed. The leveling of the global playing field, coupled with internal strife and unrest, will allow a speedier shift toward a more powerful centralized government with a crippled free market system.
This is a very, very dangerous time -- and not just for the U.S. but for the entire world.
VRW-C: I believe this has been his, or should I say his handler's, objective all along. He has been spoon fed all the so-called ill's since his birth that he knows only contempt. I hear people say Obama is an idiot and then say he is conspiring to tear down the USA. Well, which is it?
If you ever have seen a rabbit dog chase its prey, then you have seen a wild act of nature. If you did not know that the dog was chasing a rabbit, you would think that the dog was rabid by the way it goes back and forth, to and fro, yelping through the brush.
Your statement identifies Obama's "rabbit". 80 posted on Sun Aug 21 15:54:06 2011 by VRW Conspirator (Obama takes office, and 2-1/2 years later we are saying downgrade and America together!)
CW: Youve nailed it. Hes the trained dog, were the prey and the 60s Leftists are his handlers.
