Humans may not be main climate change source: Romney

LEBANON, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, in danger of losing his 2012 Republican primary front-runner status, on Wednesday tweaked his position on global climate change, saying he does not know if humans are the primary cause.

Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, also said he would not place restrictions on carbon emissions if elected and did not favor spending heavily on climate solutions.

He was asked about global warming at a town hall meeting in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and said he believed the world is getting hotter and humans contribute in some way to the change.

"Do I think the world's getting hotter? Yeah, I don't know that but I think that it is," he said. "I don't know if it's mostly caused by humans.

"What I'm not willing to do is spend trillions of dollars on something I don't know the answer to."

Romney is starting to remind me more and more of John Kerry, another Massachusetts politician who tried to be on both sides of every issue.

I think Romney would be a huge improvement over Obama but I would like to see him, just once, stand up for principles. Romney's constant flip flopping and attempts to be politically correct are really tiring.

I couldn't vote for anyone ignorant enough to have ever considered manmade global warming.

Mitt is too facile, too establishment for my vote.

I think Mitt listened to Dylan’s “Blowing in the Wind” a bit too much and took it seriously. It was just a song Mitt......

He’s a finance geek after all, he never really had his head in the clouds much, not even when flying on his corporate jet at 40,000 feet.

I don't warm the planet. The family does. I don't.
Can I get me a carbon credit.
I'm Mitt Romney and I'm reporting for emissions.

You would have to furnish the principles for him; he hasn’t any of his own.

Romney better watch it if he wants those Wall Street contributions to keep coming. The bankers and hedge fund managers want those carbon emissions credits to trade with - like in the worst way. Speculation, structured finance vehicles, new types of derivatives - wow.

May not be? Boy, he is sure stepping out there... NOT! This lukewarm denouncing of the globull warming junk science just tells me that he still believes it.
