>>>Yes I have enjoyed the Lakers 10 Championships, and was happy for the Dirk too.>>>

Yeah, Here in Dallas, they thought about calling you folks in Los Angeles to see if you could show how to riot and burn cars and stab people and assault cops after winning the NBA crown. I guess we never did though because after the Mavs won, the most serious offense was a jaywalker. And I think even he, she or a he/she was from L.A. :)

Get the 3x3 with xtra spread. the fries arent so good. It’s just a fresh off the grill burger. Most chains have stuff not fresh off the grill.

I'll pass, thanks. BTW ... everything they were serving was fresh off the grill. It was too busy for there to be anything sitting under heat lamps. Like I said, y'all can have it ... I'm not impressed.

Tried In-n-Out in Anaheim and have to say, still like Whataburger more... something too about deep-fried apple pies... anyway, I do hope they open a few In-n-Outs in San Antonio. They have Five Guys now as well here which is OK. The local places here are still better (Bobby J’s, Chris Madrid, Texas Hamburger Company). I like variety and having an In-n-Out here would be good for sure. Just not as jazzed about it as West Coasters.

Fully understand. Everybody has different tastes. However, one cannot argue with the quality of IN N OUT because to my knowledge, not a single other fast food burger adheres to the rules they do, including “cattle to customer” in 5 days. Sponge dough buns, (simple too), “kennebec” potatoes in vegetable oil, (yes, I think their fries are the highest quality even if some taste better, it’s about quality too), I believe their spread is the best I have ever had, the freshest produce, they set the highest standards right down to the nerds they hire....(no tatoos, no long hair, no earrings on the bloke making your burger, etc).....they never get the order wrong, they are the nicest most courteous employees you will find anywhere....they have not changed their menu except for adding 7 up and replacing pepsi with coke, in over 60 years......and they put Bible texts on their cups and wrappers and as my Mom noticed just the other day....they even stack their burgers perfectly.....

They pay their employees more than minimum wage, managers make in excess of $100,000 a year, and must have started from the ground up and they have an “all star” team that opens every new location, they travel and make sure the quality is uncompromised.....

Simply, there is nothing to match them from taste to quality to service.....in my humble opinion. There was a book written about them and it was on the New York Times Best Seller list....and I read it a few months ago and it explains all this....just a great American Story. Even if the family that started IN N OUT are all dead, 2 sons tragically......IN N OUT is now owned by a single blood surviving young woman, Linsi Martinez and yes.....she’s a very wealthy young woman but she is also a Christian who helps feed children around the world. She flew out for the grand opening in Texas and met with all new employees who fell in love with her......They said she treated them like family.

“Dallas lives its football. Dallas knows its football. L.A., you’re no football city.”

How is L.A.’S NFL team looking this year?

Can’t argue with those pro teams. Dallas trails only Boston for pro teams. But the greater and surrounding Boston areas can’t compete with Dallas for college teams like the Longhorns, Horned Frogs, Aggies, LSU Tigers, OU Sooners and OSU Cowboys and of course God’s personal favorite, the Razorbacks.

I agree. I was very disappointed with that behavior too. That all started in Detroit with the pistons. Thanks for celebrating in a civil way!

Yep they do have a neat story and the restaurant folks were very friendly. I had heard so much about them that my expectations were probably sky high. I’m not saying the burgers were bad at all. They were good - but eating one wasn’t like an epiphany or anything. Still looking for that burger that says “now here is a slice of heaven!” And you are right - everyone has different tastes. Next time I am going to try a 4x4 animal style (I had a double double animal style). Plus I was in an awful hurry (taxi was waiting) so I wolfed it down.

I’ve got to agree—— you certainly have us beaten in college football.

My son-in-law and a group of old friends make an annual trip(often quite a distance} to a college football game and they said they were never treated better than at an Aggies game, and they had been doing this for years.

Texas hospitality.

“Texas is a thing that you either “get” or “don’t get”...it is an intangible thing.”

I have been living here since 1999. I get it.
