A top lawmaker in the Congressional Black Caucus says tea partiers on Capitol Hill would like to see African Americans hanging from trees and accuses the movement of wishing for a return to the Jim Crow era.
Rep. Andre Carson, a Democrat from Indiana who serves as the CBCs chief vote counter, said at a CBC event in Miami that some in Congress would love to see us as second-class citizens and some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me hanging on a tree.
Carson also said the tea party is stopping change in Congress, likening it to the effort that were seeing of Jim Crow.
The explosive comments, caught on tape, were uploaded on the internet Tuesday, and Carsons office stood by the remarks. Jason Tomcsi, Carsons spokesman, said the comment was in response to frustration voiced by many in Miami and in his home district in Indianapolis regarding Congress inability to bolster the economy. Tomcsi, in an email, wrote that the congressman used strong language because the Tea Party agenda jeopardizes our most vulnerable and leaves them without the ability to improve their economic standing.
The Tea Party is protecting its millionaire and oil company friends while gutting critical services that they know protect the livelihood of African-Americans, as well as Latinos and other disadvantaged minorities, Tomcsi wrote. We are talking about child nutrition, job creation, job training, housing assistance, and Head Start, and that is just the beginning. A child without basic nutrition, secure housing, and quality education has no real chance at a meaningful and productive life.
Carson is hardly the first lawmaker to use heated rhetoric. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) yelled you lie as President Barack Obama was addressing Congress. Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) yelled baby killer at former Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) as abortion was being discussed during the health care debate.
Carson, who represents Indianapolis, is the second Muslim to ever serve in Congress. He has been in office since 2008, and took the seat that was held by his late grandmother Rep. Julia Carson (D-Ind.).
The racist left realized some time ago that the Tea Party has the majority and the moral high ground, so they have no intention of trying to have any sort of discussion with us. We'd expose them for the evil little scum bags they are, and they know it.
All they can do is lie and accuse us of being what they themselves are. They've got nothing else.
AMEN
This man rants while black youth beat the living p*** out of white shoppers in Philadelphia. Dozens attack whites while this idiot race baiting slob gives the youth the high five. He ought to be arrested and charged with inciting violence
Leftists never argue any issue on the merits of the issue,
because they CAN’T.
Don’t forget the “NOOSE CAMPAIGN” they tried in 2007 was just a repeat of the “BLACK CHURCHES BURNING” of 1996.
We hold Bill Cosby in rather high esteem as well.
And I have to tell you, one of the things Im starting to think about is reconsidering my membership in the Congressional Black Caucus because I dont think that theyre moving toward the right manner in which were going to solve the problems, not only in the black community, but all across the United States of America. -FOXNEWS
I heard him say this, live this morning.

He should hire some body guards for protection from the Black caucus.

Do not be fooled by Cosby. True, he sees and speaks about obvious flaws in what passes for black culture but just as he was 40 years ago, he is a racist.
Spoken by a black Muslim who took his deceased Granny’s seat.
He's also a notorious philanderer.
Serious question..Can these folks making these outlandish statements be sued for defamation? It seems to me that saying the TEA Party wants to kill blacks goes way beyond free speech.
Surprised it took him this long to become aware of what the CBC is really all about. Will wait to see what he does.
She was just alive enough for the Dems to keep the seat and literally
wheel her in when they needed that last vote.
I don't know how long she was in that condition.
This is the new tone that Obummer wanted? Right?

Absolutely!
Why doesnt the House GOP censure Carson for his lies? Force the Democrats to defend or disavow him.
Because anti-white racism is not to be fought in barry’s hood.
Bill Cosby was widely condemned for chastising black Americans when he suggested that they start taking responsibility for their lives.
As you can imagine, Rep. Carson’s district is demographically favorable for this type of rhetoric. He’s only preachin’ what the congregation wants to hear (much like Jeremiah Wright). In most other districts these comments would mark him as a kook and he would have no chance of election. In Indiana’s 7th, he will be returned to office in a landslide victory.
Oh, by the way, his grandma was perhaps the most crooked and corrupt representative ever produced by the State of Indiana. And she knew how to “spread the wealth around” to all her cronies and a few crumbs to her constituents. And they loved her, too.
BTW, every conservative American would “like to see blacks”
living productive lives, producing stable families with fathers in the home helping to raise the next productive, well educated generation.

Excellent statement. And the leaders of AFP, Tea Party Express & every other related group should be out in front of media cameras stating this & demanding that Andre Carson & other race baiters apologize for their lying comments. This kind of thing must be responded to!
“Carson is hardly the first lawmaker to use heated rhetoric. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) yelled you lie”
So telling the TRUTH about Obama’s proposals is equivalent to Racist race-baiting lies that Repubs want TO KILL PEOPLE?
While I am shocked that the Indianapolis Star covered this on the Website, local Indy television news hasn’t mentioned this, AT ALL.
“I think they are choosing their spokespeople very carefully.”
Most people in Indianapolis have NO IDEA they are represented in Congress by a racist, Black Panther radical muslim.
While the Indianapolis Star did mention his comments on the Website, it’s like he does not exist to local television media.
From trees?
Trying to put carpenters out of work? No gallows builders unions to channel slush funds through?
“...This kind of crap is going to lead to violence in the streets and I dont mean by white folks either. Have you been watching the news lately about blacks going feral attacking WHITE folks in the knockout game? The kidnapping, rape, sodomy, torture and murder of WHITES by blacks? The so called flash mobs? The unprovoked attack by about 4 blacks on a WHITE in Philadelphia?...”
Seeing as how Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine Law just went into effet this week, and the number of PA residents who carry a sidearm daily, I suspect that the brave flash mob idiots are in for a big, big surprise should they continue to target innocent folks.
A big surprise indeed.
Does nothing to alter the validity of my post.
He's enjoying his lifetime appointment for not rocking the boat.
Why should the dims oppose him when he gets along so well?
Why should the repugs oppose him when they know he can win?
We NEED TERM LIMITS, just to keep them honest!
Andre Carson: black Neo-racist.
If it WERE true, Marty Robbins will help you go out in style race baiter!
The Hanging Tree...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YF9AALr0m8
He should apologize for his use of words. It’s not “hanging on a tree” it’s “hanging from a tree”
Andre Carson..Self Serving Race Baiter along with a Whole bunch of others!!!
Carson was speaking specifically about the “TEA Party” freshman representatives. That is about 80 Congressmen. The leadership, as well as the rest of the Congress, should be refuting this guy’s words.
...and they are not for the reason I stated.
Thanks for the clarification. I believe that you nailed it.
This is the same guy who made up the story about tea partiers hurling racist slurs against Rep John Lewis during the infamous walk outside the capitol during the health care vote
The Congressional Muslim Staffers Association has been in existence since 2006, the year in which Keith Ellison was the first Muslim elected to Congress. Their website states that:
” Members often publicly speak about how Muslim Americans can pursue careers in Federal government, particularly in Congress, and how to be politically involved.”
Under the heading “Why Should Young Muslims Participate in Professional Internships?” “Opportunities to meet the two Muslim American Members of Congress, the Hon. Keith Ellison (MN) and Hon. ANDRE CARSON (Indiana)” is listed as third. The last bullet point on the list leaves no doubt that the CMSA is an Islamist organization:

For those of us who's families have been the victims of this communist "disappearing" act in the past, we are not going to let this happen again. We are ready. We are prepared and, thanks to digital technology, we know where the communists live and the routes they take to and from work... Shock & awe? You bet...
See, that is something that people need to keep in mind when they talk about going “lone wolf” and taking on some gov’t ninja raiding party that comes to their house to confiscate whatever.
No, don’t take them on, you’ll just die, and we’ll be one patriot down.
Live to fight another day.
FIND OUT WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACT,
and take them out
(obviously, I’m speaking “politically”, just like Trumpka was, right?)
after planning an opportunity to do so.
The “disappearing act” can work in both directions.
I meant “Hoffa” instead of “Trumpka”...
but I’m sure the latter has made similar statements as well.
