The Good Fight: Why Conservatives Must Take Back America
The Conscience of Kansas radio program ^ | 08-17-11 | Paul A. Ibbetson

A conservative movement has already begun, but without a sound strategic blueprint for tomorrow, its future success is not assured. This book is a wake-up call. Though some may consider these truths politically incorrect, conservatives need to take a long look at the problems in this country and our responsibility to fight for the values we hold dear. It's time to face the ideological foes of this nation, and beat them in the battlefield of Ideas. It's time for conservatives to take a stand and be accountable. It's time to join the Good Fight! Paul A Ibbetson is a former Chief of Police of Cherryvale, Kansas, and member of the Montgomery County Drug Task Force. Paul received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Criminal Justice at Wichita State University, and his Ph.D. in Sociology at Kansas State University. Paul is the author of several books including the 2010 release "Oliver's Tale; A Squirrel's Story of Love, Courage, and Revolution" published by Eternal Light and Power Company. Paul is also the Radio Host of 'Conscience Of Kansas' the award winning conservative radio program heard on KRMR The Patriot 105.7 FM

Conservatives taking back america will result in another kind of bloated federal government..

Whats needed is transferring MOST federal government programs to States programs.. not all but most..

That is reducing the federal government to the things the federal government SHOULD do..

The States should handle most programs IF THEY HANDLE Them AT ALL..
From roads to education to farming to manufacturing to banking to insurance to energy to parks and wildlife.. and MORE..

Absolutely, if not even lesser jurisdictions like counties and municipalities. The point is to assign responsibility down to the most individual social or political units. It's called freedom.

Failure is not an option.
I don’t want to live through 4 more years of Wonder Boy and the Wookie.
I was not born in a Marxist nation and I want to see America great again in my lifetime.

Only three people can do this and they are Cain, Bachmann and Palin....nobody else is even close to conservative. If we chose another person then we don't be going towards conservatism.

WHAT WE NEED IS TO KILL MOST FEDERAL PROGRAMS, NOT TRANSFER THEM TO THE STATES. In fact, we need to kill most state programs.

I think libertarian suspicions of conservatives is misplaced....and conservative governance IS smaller government(s) via the 10th Amendment.

The crucial line between conservatives and libertarians though, is that conservatives have values grounded in faith, and tradition too, where-as many libertarians seem libertine and ungrounded in their values—moving toward an Ayn Rand-type greed-is-good base—which conservatives believe would debase society.

We’ve never really had consistent conservative governance in the last 100 years or so—and the GOP, via it’s “moderate” “Progressive” (RINO!) wing has continued the ever expansion of government. Conservatives too have gone along—on law and order issues (see the War on Drugs (WOD))—which helped defeat their primary instinct of constitutional, limited government, informed and led by persons of strong moral character—stemming from religious conviction.

Out law withholding taxes from the sheeple’s paychecks. When the sheeple have to actually strike a check payable to FedGov™ every quarter, heads will start rolling.

It's called freedom.

It's called a republic!
