Posted on 08/31/2011 8:34:30 PM PDT by Clairity
The news of Governor Rick Perry jumping into the Republican nomination race for President, released a media tsunami that assaulted my brain. In no time at all, people came up with a long list of negatives about him. In a democracy, honest and thorough scrutiny of anyone's records seeking a public office is not only the prerogative of the electorate, but it is its duty.
Unless someone can come up with solid evidence to the contrary, I feel relieved that Governor Perry is not an Islamophile, he is not even an Islamic apologist, and he can be entrusted with the responsibility of guarding our nation's priceless heritage of liberty against the assaults of Islamic fascism.

The author refutes the accusations about Perry one by one.
No, he doesn’t. It’s the same rote stuff. But you go ahead and believe it.
Yes, he does, unless you’re of the mindset that the only acceptable view of Islam is “shoot all Muslims on sight.”
It is hilarious, these attacks. One day he is extreme Christian and the other day he is borderline Muslim. What next?
I am neither a Christian nor a Muslim, and am 100% behind Perry.
I have a few problems with Perry, but he DOES support Israel, and even received an award for his support.
And yet, questions on Islam should be asked at the next GOP debate, and certainly at the presidential debates whoever the candidates are.
Getting this country out of debt and employed again is never going to happen if Islam takes over. Let’s not fool ourselves — if sharia becomes the law of the land you can kiss it goodbye for good.
Seen any first world muslim countries lately?
It's all a clever subterfuge, Perry is actually a Druid.
America is not ready for the truth yet.
Real conservatives - real Americans, really - understand the islam problem and know what to do about it.
Republican establishment candidates are completely worthless because life is a compromise to them. They do not understand the islamic invasion. They do not care about it. They just think they need to be elected. They are not much different from Democratic machine candidates.
“It is hilarious, these attacks. One day he is extreme Christian and the other day he is borderline Muslim. What next?”
“It’s all a clever subterfuge, Perry is actually a Druid.”
Omg! Perry’s a Druid? Druid’s were cannibals! Perry is a cannibal!
All, let me repeat that, ALL Muslims use the Quran as their holy book, their rules of life. The Quran calls for the Muslims to kill Jews, Christians and anyone of other religions who do not convert or pay the jisya in humility. Muslims/Islam can not coexist with the Constitution and American laws. Perrys own speeches show he is an apologist for Muslims. In that article Amil Imani is himself a Muslim apologist.
Then you had better do some serious research about what the Quran says Muslims need to do to unbelievers. If you think its just the radical Muslims guess again.
You mean like the same rote stuff that the Palin people keep posting about Perry that has been debunked a thousand times over, but they nevertheless keep posting on the principle that if you throw enough mud at a wall, eventually some will stick?
I'm not even a Perry supporter, and I get tired of seeing the same tired old nonsense over and over again.
Let me guess, even though using those same old tired ronpaul style PDS smears, you’re sayin your not a paulnut and looove Palin more than life. Right?
That's going to be an interesting challenge for the White House Chef!
See 14, it fits nicely here too.
” Yes, he does, unless youre of the mindset that the only acceptable view of Islam is shoot all Muslims on sight. “
That pretty much nails it. We’ve been burdened here and there with the Scarlett Letter, KKK, mass deportation and the Supremacist type thinking for decades. It is disguised as some kind of Puritan genius that would somehow cleanse society of it’s decadence overnight if it just weren’t for the stupid people. You know, the ones from every tribe, creed and tongue that built the country. Us. And, of course, Rick Perry. LOL. Pathetic inadequacy of heart, mind and maybe soul, rhetorically speaking on that soul thing, but you get my drift. These ACTUAL candidates are not God, but Perry can be trusted to handle racism with a little earthly justice without being intimidated by our enemies, either both foreign or domestic.
The muslim lovers here will never get it MM. Same with the ricardo hussien perrynista’s illegal lovers here on FR. This ancient old boy has seen a bit.....but never anything like the support for an illegal loving, in bed with the terrorist front group, c.a.i.r., candidate from folks here that should know better. Good God, this twin cancer of islam and the mexican illegal criminal invaders is/are destroying our country!....and some younger easily fooled FReepers think it is okay!!
What you said
Hi all you Perry cult members.
Palin supporter here. I’ve just decided to visit here after reading this thread:
This is my first anti-Perry post. It is a direct response to being told by someone on that (Palin) thread, that supporting Palin on a Palin thread is in the alleged mind of the accuser, makes Palin supporters “trolls”.
Now I’m usually pretty reasonable. I actually like Perry, but fair is fair.
So here I am. To start my first anti-Perry post I’d like to strongly complain about an allegedly conservative, limited-government governor subjecting innocent young school girls to FORCED MEDICAL PROCEDURES.
Does this make you, who support Perry proud?
OK bye for now. Thanks for your time.
He’s aligned himself with the least violent denomination of islam. That way he signals to muzzies I’m open for discussion (votes) and to non-muzzies that I don’t totally buy into islam (he’s conservative). He’s a consumate politician.
Israel has to give the award to somebody, to keep the hope alive. They’ve been playing this game as long as anyone. Secularism in our govt and schools is killing this country. It makes anything relative, in the end.
WOW an honest to God post by the Martian himself, ronpaul.
LOL, see you.
Dry up sonny. Paul and his little pal mittens are the two most idiotic people ever to even come close to running for prez. But you muslim/illegal lovers keep at it, others here remember what they have done to this Country. This old timer says get some time in on the planet before you go farting off your liberal muslim/illegal loving perrynista crap here.
What’s Sarah Palin’s opinion of Islam? Or couldn’t she find a Reagan quote on the subject?
And Perrys stance on other Islam issues speaks for itself. When Perry was questioned about building a mosque near ground-zero in New York, for instance, he said, To build a mosque near Ground Zero would be insensitive to the victims and families of 9/11 and would make the healing process much more difficult for everyone that was touched by this tragedy. Im a big believer in freedom of religion but believe it would be best for all involved to put the facility elsewhere. However, zoning is a local responsibility and as a staunch supporter of the 10th Amendment, I do not think the federal government should take steps to intercede or overrule the wishes of local residents. The citizens of New York City will decide the fate of this building.
Trying to figure out just who you support for POTUS and it seems you bash Perry here, bash Palin on a Palin thread and bash Bachmann. The only ones you ain’t doing a cutie thing on is Mutt, jonboy, ronpaul and nobama. Do we get three guesses and the first two don’t count? My guess is nobama or ronpaul.
Go away shi’te stirring du troll.
The more of your posts I read the more I like you.
If you had read the article, you would know that the author answers the “in bed with” CAIR question.
That’s just about completely wrong about everything you wrote.
Thanks for your intelligent response.
I believe that any person who acknowledges the Koran as their law cannot acknowledge the USA Constitution as the basis of law applying to them. The Koran is the head of the Muslim Trojan horse being in the USA.
That’s pretty cool. What you said. Don’t you know my Atilla the Hun-ette reputation among the Palinistas? Obviously not. But, thank you very much.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.
Nailed it. It matters not what RINO Mitt Perry does or says his band of apologists are always looking for new ways of defending his abysmal record. It's not a matter of misinterpretation, Perry is a pro-ILLEGAL alien, pro-amnesty establishment Republican RINO that much is clear. They just don't seem to care.
Yeah, FR is the veritible tip of the spear of the Dar al Harb. I'm surprised they don't make us post in Arabic.
Same with the ricardo hussien perrynistas illegal lovers here on FR.
A+ for effort on the Archie Bunker-as-Methuselah routine. I'm sure you're too crusty and hardcore for any of that thar reason-talk, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway, for the benefit of our lurker friends.
Why is Texas the only state where the governor is somehow responsible for securing the Federal border? No other governor in the history of the Southwest has been able to do the Federal government's job. How does Perry take more heat for this than Barack Obama, who is the actual chief executive. What sense does that make?
The CAIR connection was long ago debunked. The 'Islamic indoctrination for Texas teachers' was about the same level of PC crap that your average Army unit gets on Muslim culture. Which is to say, not pro-sharia. The idea (to say nothing of the evidence) that the governor of Texas is a terrorist sympathizer is so weak that I'm amazed anyone with the wherewithal to log in and post would fall for it.
The reason more people aren't outraged by his alleged border jumping jihad is that he's simply not the Supreme Ayatollah of Los Illegales. Perry's not perfect by any means, but he's not remotely as bad as you're making him out to be.
You know the crux of the matter is that the bobbies out there are skeered. I know few Texans who are so intimidated. We’re exposed to all minorities. Heck, it’s the Anglos who are the minority. To say that we can behave as prigs in this new reality is other-planet thinking. We have contracepted ourselves right out of existence but want to throw our weight around like we’re in charge of the hen house. Not any more. If we can not intuitively deal with the facts as they are, make lemonade out of lemons, it seems to me we only forward the clock on our own demise. I mean, what is the alternative?
OK. Now tell us why the Bilderberg New World Order types have picked Perry.
I thought we wanted a All-American, pro-American, constitutional conservative, not a contest between a Rockefeller RINO vs. a Bilderberg RINO fair boy.
I’m not voting for a McCain or a Bush or a Dole or a Bush again. I don’t think that a lot of people who voted for GOP candidates in November want RINOs. We want patriotic Americans who know that the Muslims are here to kill us.
The tough talk is great if there's a plan. If the plan is 'kill em all', then forget it. Most American's aren't going to go for that, and if that's all you're selling, then you're selling defeat.
How much do people really believe in conservative values? If those values are universal, then we need to stay confident and sell them. Anglos aren't the only people who want economic freedom and God given rights as individuals. Otherwise, this whole American experiment is a lost cause on borrowed time.
>>> “ If those values are universal, then we need to stay confident and sell them. Anglos aren’t the only people who want economic freedom and God given rights as individuals.” <<<
Assimilation! Dang! That was the word I needed badly as I posted elsewhere a few days ago! Assimiliation is dead on. Actually, it’s dead isn’t it? What you say above is very important. Thanks. It is so true! And it sure beats my awful and secular approach of an “intuitive” construction. I do know, of course, you are absolutely right and wish I had said it. A “confident culture” is also apt in problem solving. You must be a professor of some rank. Thanks. %:D
The guy went to one meeting in, what, 2007? I'd go to a meeting if they invited me. They probably have great food.
I'm don't know how to refute your point, because I'm not sure how you arrived there. If Perry is Illuminati material, then I guess I don't really know what Illuminatis are aiming for.
Im not voting for a McCain or a Bush or a Dole or a Bush again.
Who do you have in mind?
We want patriotic Americans who know that the Muslims are here to kill us.
No public figure is going to say this. Anyone that did would be shot with tranq darts and stuffed into a straight jacket. America's just not ready to hear that sort of thing. Herman Cain didn't go nearly that far, and he still wound up walking back his words a half mile.
I think that Western civilization and Islam have a major and bloody reckoning coming to settle their basic incompatibilities, but we're just not there yet. I spent the better part of the last decade downrange, and even the Army can't bring itself to say it in those terms.
May I squeak in here, long enough to say that Perry spoke at the Build-a-burger meeting. His topic? STATES RIGHTS & FEDERALISM. He came. He went. Next question?
"We are not at war with Islam. This is a war within Islam, where a small minority of violent killers seeks to impose their view on the vast majority of Muslims who want the same things all of us want: economic opportunity, education, and the chance to build a better life for themselves and their families."If you can't even get Sarah Palin to declare war on the Muslim religion, who are you going to get? What candidate is going to do what you want?
You should have used the “Perry is a muslim sympathizer” argument here, because that would be on-topic for the thread.
It’s helpful to keep each anti-Perry talking point in it’s appropriate thread, otherwise it looks like spamming.
Steel Wolf, it’s simple to answer.
He was invited to a meeting, so he went to see what it was about. As Perry himself has said, they never invited him back, or to join. So he clearly was not “picked” by those types.
Once you start looking at the world as a giant conspiracy, it all makes sense. I don't think the world is supposed to make sense quite that easily. It's sloppy, self-sustaining reasoning. Comforting, I suppose, but I wouldn't trust it an inch towards explaining someone's motivations over the normal human vices.
Well, all I can say is, I don’t care what anybody else says, I love those build-a-bear workshops.
Man, I hate politicians.
Especially if they hang out with any kind of Satan worshipers. (Muslims)
READ the guidelines for the Curriculium to be taught about Islam (Muslims).. I agree 100% that the History of Islam (From Mo to current times SHOULD be taught at all educational levels, in every state of the Union) BUT THE CURRICULUM THAT TEXAS IS TEACHING IS NOT FACTUAL - BUT A DISTORTION OF THE FACTS..PROBLEMS CANNOT BE CORRECTED IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE “TRUE” HISTORY OF THE PROBLEM..STOP THROWING CONTINOUS ROSE-PETALS AND STATE THE FACTS...WOODROW WILSON HAS LEFT THE HOUSE...
