CLAYTON, MO (KMOX) – Taking heat from Muslim groups upset with a coloring book about the 9/11 Attacks, a publisher says he’s been in contact with local police and the FBI.

Wayne Bell, the Publisher of Really Big Coloring Books, Inc., says there’s been a negative backlash against the book “We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids’ Book of Freedom.”

“These are people from Al-Jazeera that have called in here numerous times, people from Iranian TV, people from Palestinian Hamas TV,” Bell said, “A lot of people from the Islamic community have called in here and said increasingly negative things prior to the book being made and then after we made the book too, about the book itself.”

The book features images of Osama Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists. It also shows American citizens upset by the attacks, including a woman with a cross around her neck. But it shows no Muslim Americans mourning the attacks.

The Council on American Islamic Relations has criticized the book as one-sided, only portraying Muslims as either “extremists” or “terrorists. ”

Bell was asked to explain the absence of patriotic Muslim Americans in the book who were also opposed to the attacks. Publisher Calls FBI Over Muslim Backlash From 9/11 Coloring Book

“Well, I don’t know, I mean this is what our research showed us,” Bell said, “Every time we mention one of the hijackers we call them what they are. And that’s what parents wanted. Radical, Islamic, Muslim Extremists. And every time we mention one of the hijackers like the three guys that drove the plane into the Pentagon, there’s nothing else you can call them. I mean, what do think, they’re having a bad hair day?”

The book has been selling briskly, so fast that Bell said he had no extra copies for reporters to take with them today. Bell declined to disclose how many copies have sold, except to say “a lot.”

When asked about whether he has had any threats because of the book, Bell stopped short of saying he had.

“That’s our C.O.O., ” Bell said, pointing to a co-worker, “He’s talked to the Clayton police department, a sergeant at the Clayton police department and the FBI, regarding your question. That’s the answer to your question. And so, it’s really good to be aware of your surroundings. We’ll put it that way.

The book features images of Osama Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists. It also shows American citizens upset by the attacks, including a woman with a cross around her neck. But it shows no Muslim Americans mourning the attacks.

So in other words, it's an accurate representation.

BTW folks, learn the truth about Islam, the stuff they don't want you to know!

But the politicians (both sides) keep telling us how peaceful islam is and that muslims in American are good citizens and want to get along with everybody. BS

Wish there was a way to kick every single muslim out of America.

Because they didn't. They danced and partied in the streets. Why lie to the kids?

But it shows no Muslim Americans mourning the attacks.

All the more reason for them to include a page of that fat "Palestinian" bich swirling around and trilling.

I bet 0 bummer and the wookie were even cheering the events of 9/11. Maybe not outwardly, but that is what those two want - knock down America a notch or two.

Everyone knows that Islam is responsible for the 911 attacks.

CAIR is just proving that they didn’t mourn either! Instead of blaming the 19 scumbags, they find a way to blame ... a coloring book maker! If I were a peaceful Saudi or Muslim living in the U.S. I would be more pissed at the terrorists than anyone. They stained their own people for life.

When the so-called mainstream muzzies start doing something about the radical muzzies, then I might pay attention to their “bad American” chants.

Until then, if you don’t like America then go back to where you came from.

I’d put my money of donkeys descending from space on sombreros the size of the Astro Dome, chewing tobacco and spitting like a llama in hurricane before I would expect a change from the koranimals in our midst.

I would ask CAIR for the names of real Muslims who came out to unequivocally condemn the attacks.

By that I mean no nonsense like:

"Obviously the attacks are a tragedy, but the American policy of intervention brings these things out in the poor Islamic people of the world."

According to the UK Guardian (yesterday):
"... it has sold out of its first print run of 10,000 copies."
That UK rag also posts an image from page 19 of this coloring book . . .which is probably the image (and it's placement in the coloring book) which most irritates these savages threatening the publisher. It depicts Osama cowering behind a hefty bagged female as he is taken out by our fabulous American Navy Seal Team 6 member...ON PAGE 19 (symbolic of the 19 hijackers, perhaps?). Note the curious term used by Dawud in the UK Guardian interview. . . "given the fact that this is a very emotional and sensitive topic..." Their revered jihad warrior depicted as the coward 'it' was in a COLORING BOOK just gnaws at their pious Islamic sensitivities! Good. The truth hurts. And good on the Missouri-based publisher, Really Big Coloring Books, for countering the massive disgusting PR effort to minimize the historical significance of 9/11. Lan Astaslem.

There was a group of Muslims in America that stood up and condemned the 9/11 attacks. I never heard much more about them after a small flurry of news about them.

That is a problem.
