Public schools turn a blind eye to bullying because they see it everyday and are powerless to deal with it. It’s the most sickening part of it all. The failure is in how the schools are run. If they didn’t have a zero tolerance policy towards both, I’d imagine it’d become a political shit storm for the school principal or dean when the parents run and cry to the county board of education.

Parents don’t want to deal with the problem at home and the school has to take a hard line or administrators at that school look incompetent. Since it’s very unlikely they can expel the students, all they can do is send them home.

This whole thing is a colossal disgust. The family’s behavior, both kids’ behavior and the school’s profound incompetency.

Well, the schools should be run by people who will fight for right, not just cower in fear!

Should the homeowner who defends himself and family be punished as much ,or even more severely than the home invader?IThe British government has said so;but I will NEVER accept that as right and proper.

The 14 year old shooter seems to have been placed in an intolerable situation;once there were kids who actually looked forward to being in school as a safe respite from home violence. When there is no safe time or place the tensions will build until something drastic is the result.
