AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

thanks; I just read the Fund article. This shocked me (if it was a reliable poll):

She polls only 8% among Republicans in the latest Fox News poll. Surely, her support would climb if she actually entered the race but she faces another obstacle. Many Republicans just don’t believe she is qualified to be president or think she is damaged goods in a general election.

The Fox poll found a full 71% of Republicans and 66% of Tea Party supporters don’t want her to run.
~~~~~~~~~~
66% of Tea Party supporters??? Are they nuts??? Have Tea Party supporters gotten behind Perry so quickly?
Do you have a chart for those working under the table?
Are you suggesting Florida trends for the whole country?
Right, quoting from that idiot Fund’s column.
Her speech tomorrow actually blasts some of Perry’s claims according to an article at C4P.
Just think about it: Why would Governor Palin want clear sailing for a candidate instead of robust debate and challenging primaries?
Re The 0’s World Famous Jobs Speech, I wish (humbly) to make the following prediction:
After a weekend at Camp David, three or four days back playing golf and conducting meetings, the whole “Speech Thing” will be very quietly and discreetly dropped like a dead skunk.
This isn’t a faculty lounge discussion on fine theory, it’s the Real World come knocking and The 0 simply hasn’t got anything to say about things he’s never had to face.
You need to read the poll correctly and I need to ping you to the pollster: It’s Perry’s pollster!!!
26% want her to run which puts her in a tie with Perry .
Put another way, 76% do not want Perry!
Rush, if I was a member of congress, I wouldn’t take part in Obama’s dog and pony show. My advice to those in congress, stay home that night and watch football.
Classmates.com is a website that hooks you up with all the schools you attended and with your old classmates.
Report them and stop your debit card or credit card from paying them!
Wow, is this what they are talking about when they put down the Tea Party? Rush proves he doesn’t understand labor statistics and I point it out and you go all liberal on me.
Recomendation is for Conservatives to actually understand what we are talking about first, and then find constructive solutions second. In this case, my recommendation is to put much more emphasis on the ‘employment’ statistic rather than the ‘unemployment.’ I find the ‘employment-population ratio’ to be a pretty interesting stat.
Polls are not immovable objects. Palin, along with her supporters, can move those polls significantly when the time is right.
The dynamic where the official Bureau of Labor Statistics measured labor force shrinks during bad times is well-known, nothing new, etc. The article I sent was just a sample to show you how common it is.
This is a pretty good summary that Rush ought to read.
Rush;
No, no, no !
Please don't offer help to Ubama by suggesting specific viable jobs plan ! Recall the rule, 'When political opponents want to injure themselves, get the heck out of the way and let them do it to themselves !'
Just keep it general and repeat that its private industry that creates jobs and government (Mommyment) has to get out of the way of private industry by not imposing impediments to creating jobs (deregulation).
What time is her speech? Is C-Span broadcasting? Please put me on your Palin ping list. I also read that she was going to participate in the Tea Party debate on the 12th?
I have always thought if she ever decided not to run, it would be for one reason only-—her family (not Todd), but her kids.
There is an enormous media/GOP tsunami trying to push her around and create confusion, particularly now to declare or bow out before she is ready to make a statement on candidacy.
“Why would Governor Palin want clear sailing for a candidate instead of robust debate and challenging primaries?”
I agree, it is critical that we citizens have her voice in the debate.
