The Big Tease. Sarah won't commit - but is still the life of the Party

A coy Sarah Palin talked a lot yesterday about the type of leader this country needs, but in what is turning into an extended national tease, she stopped just short of saying she will be that leader.

"I don't know yet," Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate turned best-selling author, told the Herald yesterday after her rousing midday speech at a Tea Party Express rally.

A fed-up Victor Luebker of the Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots [team stats] - a group of former military men and women who support the Tea Party's platform - said he's tired of Palin's games.

"She needs to declare and decide now," said Luebker, who did not attend the event. "The Tea Party is not a movement to sell books or make news for the sake of attention; we have serious issues facing our country."

Others, though, say they'll wait as long as necessary for Palin.

It’s not a smear when you can reason. You think she would allow a movie to be made about her without knowing exactly how it would be used? Seriously, she would be dumb not to have it spelled out in a contract on just how her soon to be trademarked self would be used in a film maker’s movie.

It’s common sense for a person in her position to want to maintain control of how her image and likeness is used.

I’m not smearing her but stating that it’s a smart move to ensure that she controls the outcome.

You know DJ, I can’t help it if you have a hard time understanding how discussion forums operate. In order to have a healthy and long lasting forum there has to be debate. If there is none people move on out of boredom.

Why not join a Sarah Palin fanclub for uninterrupted gushing. Politics isn’t about 100% agreement. It’s about discussing issues, differences of opinion, figuring out how to work together even if you don’t agree 100% with the other side because ultimately that is what we have to do in order to have a free and democratic society.

The need for some to control what others think and post is not the actions of free speech supporters. I would rather be a part of a society that is open to discuss things than one where only one way of thinking and believing is acceptable.
