She was the White House intern who found fame for all the wrong reasons.
Now, 17 years later, Monica Lewinsky is still trying to play down her scandalous affair with then-President Bill Clinton.
She is single, her line of handbags failed to catch on and, according to the National Enquirer, is living the life of a near recluse.
Monica, 38, flits between homes in Los Angeles owned by her mother, her father and brother and an apartment in New York that is also owned by the Lewinsky family. But her life is far from a social whirl of a-list parties and she is said to spend much of her time alone.
An insider told The Enquirer that Monica has given up her own place and moves between the two coasts trying to work out projects that may never get off the ground. Her apparent goal is to set up her own public relations company.
The insider said: 'Monica's self-esteem is at an all-time low.

As I have been telling my daughters all along as we raised them....get yourself a reputation as a sk*nk and a wh*re and no decent self-respecting guy is going to want a real relationship with you. I must presume Miss Lewinsky’s parents did not do the same.

You know, this is why Linda Tripp blew the whistle - ahem - on the whole affair and got raked over the coals for it. She saw this naive, sad, easily-led young woman with very low self-esteem being used by the leader of the free world and said this is not right...

Monica was naive and dumb (liberal -obviously).
However, if the “Commander in Chief” were to have military justice, he would have been fired.

Truth be told, I would too.
Well, Monica, you had your fling as the Presidential concubine, you got to hit the cocktail circuit, you got national-TV interviews, you got a book published, and you even sold purses.
But still... you’re miserable.
Well, you chose this path. My compassion meter is pegged, but the schadenfreude one is off the charts.
She had a chance for a good life, but she blew it.
Google and read the sad story of Lady Jane Grey, the two week queen, who was beheaded 7 months later by order of Queen Mary I. Her father sounds exactly like Monica’s father; using their daughters as props to advance their own political ambitions.
After Clinton’s autobiography My Life appeared in 2004, Lewinsky said in an interview with the British tabloid Daily Mail:[36]
