“If any of the wealthy on these platforms says one darned thing about a situation they have no knowledge of, like having to scrape their knuckles or work with a broken leg/foot/fingers, I have nothing to say to them.”

Vote for Cain then.
His 3-job Dad, working Mom, and humble background tell you he understands working man’s issues.

But IMO, in a debate, you don’t look at the camera when a fellow debater is responding to a challenge YOU threw out. She should have looked at him directly instead of continuously looking away.

It is a rare female who can be a great leader of men. Not common at all.

And especially after the government gave up trying to win that war in about 1969/70.

Which brings up an awful lot of anger in me. Which is why one more of our kids dying in Afghanistan or Iraq is a crying shame.

When your government stops trying to win a war, and is just holding on for some pre-determined date to depart, then you ask how they hell they can live with their consciences.

A well reasoned argument, but impossible to prove.

The debate was great. And it was great because all (except one) took a position and defended that position. Because all (except one) battled in the arena of IDEALS and IDEAS.

[There is NO financial help on tuition, they have to pay it themselves but at the in-state rate. Like other kids who attended high school in Texas for at least three years.]

Actually the residency requirement for legal residents is 1 year for in-state tuition, and there is no requirement of attending high school in TX. This law is clearly to allow kids who have lived most of their lives in TX, because their parents brought them there, the opportunity to go to college without the burden of out-of-state tution costs.

he’s offended that she’d think he could be bought for $5K?

Had Bachman been swift on her feet she could've nailed Perry by saying..."then you admit you're for sale if the price is right"...because his comment was definately admitting as much.

If Perry was so all-gang-out set on protecting the Texas schoolgirls from cancer, why didn't he ask the legislature to subsidize a Public Health "need"?

Government subsidies don't go over well in Texas. If we had the government pay for everything, we wouldn't be very conservative then, would we?

Conflict of interest? It will probably be a source of talking points, but let's get this vetted by the American public and see. For a measly $5,000 of campaign donation (measly for a big business donating to a major politician's campaign funds) and everything done in public for all to scrutinize and investigate at the time, I think you'll not see this talking point gaining much steam. It just doesn't make sense other than it was what it was. But like I said, let's get this vetted and go on.

As you know, I gave up on Afghanistan when the military ordered the bibles burned. Things have gone downhill from that point forward.

Now we are losing troops like the worst days in Iraq. For what? To install another Islamic terrorist state like we went there to destroy?

“There isn’t a cancer that can’t be cured by the right diet, as long as no pharma poisons, radiation, or surgery have spoiled the chances.”

I employ diet as part of my anti-cancer regimen and I think it’s important, but that statement’s over the top. There are people who have tried diet and alternative medicine before trying allopathic treatments and it didn’t cure their cancer (some, yes - but by no means all). Not to mention that there are strongly conflicting opinions on what the best dietary approach is...total vegans, Paleo-diet advocates (a la Weston Price Foundation), raw foods only, Gerson therapy, etc., etc., etc.

All of the stupidity is coming from your keyboard!

Try Webster Kher’s web site; it has all you need to know about cancer and how to deal with it.

http://www.cancertutor.com

Cancer gets cured gently every day.

Most mesothelioma victims are quite close to death before diagnosis, and that is why few survive, but if by chance they had gotten some better advice on diet earlier in life, most would live decades longer.

Exactly. They get to vote in their dictator.

And when we leave, he’ll be the strong man.

then they’ll attack Israel and us.

“I think they call some vaccines “mandatory” so insurance will pay for them.”

That is correct. little-stated fact is that the Federal govt put gardasil on their vaccine list forcing states like Texas to have it in their programs. This is why it came up as an issue in the first place. its why several states started mandating it,

I too think Perry made a mistake but its no big deal.

All the people bent out of shape over this are not at all noticing that medicaid taxpayer dollars have been paying for this vaccine for years.

Perry definitely stumbled on the immigration question by his defense of in state tuition for illegals.

Perry gets question on Gardisil EO. Admits mistake

Perry gained several points with me for handling that question so honestly. I just wish his supporters would follow suit.

>> “Cranberry juice cures something” <<

.
Cranberry fruit, not juice, prevents and cures bladder cancer, if used correctly. The juice is useful only if it contains the solids of the fruit.

You’ll note that Obama is quick to give up Iraq, where we had control and a chance of success.
We could have had democracy from Turkey to the persian gulf.
Now we have unrest in Egypt, and Libya and turkey on the march against Israel.

He is hanging onto Afghanistan and getting our troops killed there at an alarming rate.

FUBO!

It has nothing to do with the First Amendment, as you should know. It has everything with SP tantalizing her fans with the possibility of a run, but not getting into the fight and joining a debate where you have to raise your challenges face to face with your opponent(s).

If she decides not to run, she can attack to her heart’s content. In the meanwhile, she’s playing the fan base and attacking from a safe distance. I don’t see political sniping as particularly courageous nor an attribute of leadership.
