After reading Krugman’s repugnant piece on 9/11, I cancelled my subscription to the New York Times this AM.

Why would anyone subscribe to it in the first place?

Fancy bird cage liner, piddle pads for puppies, something to carry your fried fish in?

Good For Rumsfield. More people should show that the partisan NYT is barely good enough for bird cage paper.

You can also roll up the paper and swat liberals with it.

I guess it’s because it has a better sports page than the WSJ

Rumsfeld cancels subscription to New York Times

The news here is that a guy like Rumsfeld would subscribe to that square of toilet tissue in the first place.

Well,to know what the enemy of freedom is saying might be one reason.

It is never good to be ignorant of your opponents.

If the NYT sinply published the crossword puzzle and slashed their subscrition price they would be in the black.

>>More people should show that the partisan NYT is barely good enough for bird cage paper.<<

I suspect most already have if you read the comments to most of their articles...nothing but the raving loony Left is represented.

I suspect that the only conservatives subscribing to the NYT anymore are those in politics who need to keep track of the latest weird liberal intentions, because the NYT channels them perfectly. Everyone else dropped it long ago.

You can get enough of a liberal slant to the news with the Wall Street Journal, and there at least the editorial pages provide a counterbalance.

I think newspapers make great starters for my Weber charcoal grill.

Use it to line the bird cage — I understand that — but this must really be bad.

How many people still get a printed newspaper? In the internet age, newspaper circulation has dropped by half in some cities over what it was 10 years ago.
