If it’s a gravity fed system, true. But if it’s got some humpin’ pumps along the way, something more the size of a typical oil pipeline? Or a cluster of them? Might not do all that much for the flood side, but the drought side would appreciate it very very much.

Couldn’t move enough water to even make a dent.

You could get water to people living in cities, but that’s about it.
