Yep!
I’m beginning to see why you are so incoherent at times... reading isn’t your strong suit, is it? Please review the post to which I was responding and buzz off.
Are you saying that they have sex in class?
And it was to be given to 11 and 12 year olds.
You are not making a Constitutional argument. You are making a personal preference argument.
Once upon a time, state authorities were allowed to keep people from leaving their homes if they had a disease i.e. quarantine. They could even involuntarily commit them to sanitariums if they had things like TB for the sake of public health.
And when more testing is available regarding this medicine and its long-term effects it is very possible that I would choose to support it for the girls in my family. Based on what is known about this particular medicine today, I would consider the best protection against ALL forms of HPV (not just the few that Gardasil may prevent) is don't sleep around with any horny guy that comes along; and I would consider the best protection against cervical cancer to be regular screenings and pap exams. Girls and young women that eschew the exams because they have been protected by the vaccine are probably at greater risk rather than lower risk. And since I am not advocating withholding the vaccine -- simply object to making it mandatory -- mine is the position in this argument that supports FREEDOM.
While it doesn't absolve him of his mishandling of the process, it makes clear that his stubborn push for Gardasil came from his desire to save lives and not from any campaign contributions.
This is NOT about political corruption, it IS about Perry being a conservative with an inconsistent political philosophy. What voters must decide is, when faced with the same set of circumstances, would their candidate have made better decisions.
This would be a good start for you if you are really interested in the whole truth...which I doubt!
Straw man. No one questions the necessity for stopping the spread of a disease through quarantine of the infected. Where, though, can you possibly find the authority in our Constitution for the government to direct the activities of the non-infected?!
I’m going to disagree with Perry on a lot of things. But what Michele did, by misleading millions of young women across the country and compromising their health in order to get a few hits in at the frontrunner, is completely unacceptable.
If you are employed as a doctor at any of the major cancer treatment or research facilities then please post your credentials, because most of them have come out in favor of the vaccine. But maybe you know better then they do how to treat and prevent cancer. Please, we'd be anxious to know your background.
Thought I was posting this here but did it on the other thread. So it’s both places.
Just finished watching the video story.
It is so very touching.
I can only imagine the thoughts going though Gov. Perrys mind and the hurt in his heart for this woman while Michele Bachmann was launching her assault on him (one that she so enjoyed repeating over again for each interview).
That link was to the CDC. Are you actually telling me they are lying?
That link was to the CDC. Are you actually telling me they are lying? If so post the pertinent info proving it.
I didn’t express my approval of Michele Bachman’s tactics.
Sarah doesn't even live in the real world.
Sarah needs to stick to her FN contract and making $100,000 a pop for a speech...and I'm confidant that is exactly what she intends to do.
Hey, I’m with you completely. I don’t like government manding much of anything, including all the vaccines but my point is this has been over played. It’s time to move on and if this is the biggest issue against Perry, it’s no issue at all. Move on.
ROFL! You have got to be kidding. This report glosses over most of the actual FACTS and focuses on warm and fuzzies with this girl like some piece of leftist tripe and that's 'the whole truth'?
Wake up and smell what you're shoveling, pal. You're behaving more like you're from Ted Kennedy country than Texas.
One Palin support keeps saying that Gardasil is bad, bad, bad!
It's good to point out to this person that Palin supported the free distribution of it to every girl in her state.
That means she thinks it is good.
This should, to anyone but a fanatic, put that claim to rest (or end that person's support for Palin).
You want argue that it should not part of a school inoculation list, fine. Although, if it's good why not?
You want to argue that it should not mandated, I agree.
Of course, if you're given an easy opt-out, I'm going to say it's not a mandate.
You want to say it should not have been instituted via executive order, well Perry now agrees with you.
So, what exactly are you upset about?
“I would consider the best protection against ALL forms of HPV (not just the few that Gardasil may prevent) is don’t sleep around with any horny guy that comes along”
I agree but most Americans don’t live in a dreamworld where every teen listens to her parents and follows common sense. They fall in love, they aren’t thinking and they make a mistake. They shouldn’t die from cancer just because they made a stupid mistake.
Even in the “Father Knows Best” days of the 50’s they did it in the backseat of the car. It’s not pleasant to think about it but it is a reality even for conservative parents.
There is no controversy about mandating smallpox or polio vaccines (which are given to the uninfected)
