A P-51 crashed into a vip area at the reno air races about 25. Initial reports indicate many deaths.
FOX news in Los Angeles now reporting 2 dead and 30 injured.
They also showed video of the plane nose-diving into the ground...
They’re reporting the news live on CNN and MSNBC right now....
Pilot was Jimmy Leward.
Seeing reports of 75 inured, 25 critical, 2 dead. Totals are sure to climb. I have friends there, fingers crossed.
Foxnews.com says 75 injured
My heart goes out to all those there, at the site of this horrible crash. What a horrible thing to witness. Prayers Up for all those in the stands and on the ground.

God Bless :(
The prop must have failed pretty close to the ground unless there was a microburst?
So some wacko moderator has pulled this news from the BREAKING NEWS bar ...
Three days ago I saw the breaking news about the Dish HD satellite going dark. TRUE but moderators in all their wisdom, PULLED that FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
FREE REPUBLIC used to be on top - just like Obama and the feds we need the moderators TO GET OUT OF THE WAY of the news here on FR.
Obama will be over this. Trust me.
Fox news now covering.
Awful. We were there last year - my husband always wanted to go, so we flew out just for the races. It was awesome to see all of the WWII era planes in the sky at the same time. What a tragedy.
This appears to be his Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/JimmyLeeward
It does name him as the pilot of the Galloping Ghost, mentions him taking off in the race.
Agreed, especially because we have FR members at the site or knowing fliers.
Drudge now has it headlined in red and bold.
