Earth to Obama: NO ONE’S LISTENING TO YOU ANYMORE. SHUT THE LIGHTS OUT ON THE OVAL OFFICE WHEN YOU LEAVE.
Why don't these two just get a room? They just gush over each other, even though Buffet owes taxes and Obama supposedly hates zillionaires.
The Buffet Rule means you don’t have to pay the tax....just get a good lawyer!
I think the numbers have been run on this and it won’t make a big difference. Does this administration have anyone that checks this crap out?
The DEPRESSED are so DEPRESSING. Somebody needs to adjust Captain Zero’s meds AGAIN!
WAKE TFU America!
The Republicans should just vote for Obama’s tax hike. Yup, vote for it, and then when the economy still tanks and Obama is kicked out, just change it back again.
At the event, which was sponsored by the Universitys chapter of College Republicans, Romney said he appreciated the opportunity to come back to Michigan, where his father served as governor in the 1960's, in order to get expert opinions on health care policy from medical officials and other professionals at the University.
In response to criticisms that the health care plan he instituted as governor of Massachusetts closely resembles Obamas health care overhaul, Romney outlined his vision for national health care legislation and explained the differences between the two plans in a PowerPoint presentation for the audience. . Can Romney truly relate to the life of an average American?
Mitt Romney ($200 Million personal worth) and his wife are big donors to institutions, church and charities too. (which is very nice)
Mitt Romney: Romney and his wife contributed $1 million to the Olympics, and he donated to charity the $1.4 million in salary and severance payments he received for his three years as president and CEO.
Romney to Donate Salary if Elected Romney Pledges to Donate Presidential Salary to Charity if Elected in 2008.
It’s worked so well here in Maryland..
Maryland couldn’t balance its budget last year, so the state tried to close the shortfall by fleecing the wealthy. One year later, nobody’s grinning. One-third of the millionaires have disappeared from Maryland tax rolls.
"I did the math on this. If you collect the corporate jet tax every year for the next 5,000 years, you will cover one year of the debt that Obama has run up. One year.
"To put it another way, if you started collecting that tax at the time of John the Baptist and you collected it every year first in shekels and now in dollars you wouldnt be halfway to covering one year of the amount of debt that Obama has run up.
"As for the other one, he mentions again and again, the oil depreciation tax break if you collect that one for 700 years, you wont cover a year of Obama deficits.
"And then heres my favorite. I worked it out in the car on the way here. If you collect the corporate jets and the oil tax together get all the bad guys and the fat cats at once and you collect it for 100 years, it covers the amount of debt Obama added in February!
"And he pretends that hes the serious adult at the table." - Charles Krauthammer
‘I think the numbers have been run on this and it wont make a big difference. Does this administration have anyone that checks this crap out?”
It’s not about raising revenue. obama has admitted this personally! It’s about “fairness”. Plus he wants to try to embarrass Republicans. He couldn’t care less about the revenue. His entire approach to taxing is - “Let’s get ‘em!”

It’s another example of his petulance and childishness.
I wonder where Barry thinks the votes for this brain fart are coming from?
It appears from what I have read that Bufett doesn’t pay the taxes that he does owe.
We don’t need to raise tax’s on millionaires, we need to audit them and make them pay what they do owe.
I read that Buffet’s corporation owes a billion dollars in back tax’s
What Obama is proposing is to collect a penny for every $ 100 of current government debt. In a few years it will be a penny for every $ 1,000 of government debt. And this is supposed to do what?
Reduce the debt - that ain't going to happen as long as Congress uses the public funds as their personal reelection war chest.
Improve his reelection chances - that ain't going to happen for reasons too numerous to list here.
Provide him with more access to the slobbering LMSM - we have a winner. But, this winner, much like Obama, will not have any long term affects.
Enough said.
Funds payed to lobbyists or lobbying firms should incur a matching “tax” dedicated to paying down the national debt.
Key phrase:
“...same tax rate as middle-class earners..”
First you raise the taxes on families earning $250,000 a year and then you raise the taxes on the millionaires. Doesn’t sound like a good deal for the WORKING middle class who pay the bulk of Federal personal income taxes.
What will happen is that Obama will sell it as a “millionaires tax”, but the tax will also reach down to others that are not millionaires.
Just not at the same rate.
