NEW YORK (AP) -- President Barack Obama warned Monday that the United States is headed down a "perilous path" if its leaders cannot move quickly and responsibly to help people get back to work.
Obama, speaking at an exclusive Park Avenue fundraiser for his re-election and for other Democrats, promoted his plans to spur hiring and put a dent in the long-term debt. He proposes to pay for his ideas in large part by raising taxes on wealthy Americans and corporations.
Republican leaders have offered strong opposition to his economic program.
`'If we don't succeed, then I think this country is going to go down a very perilous path," Obama told his audience in brief remarks in front of reporters.
He said that meant conditions would get worse for everyone, rich and poor.
Obama spoke at the home of Ralph Schlosstein and Jane Hartley. About 60 people paid $35,800 each to attend.

And he's still got over a year to do as much damage to the world as he possibly can. In fact, he's moving into overdrive, because he knows his time is short.
He’s actually right... but for the wrong reason.
Barry’s “country before party” statement is a jingoistic way of saying “nationalism”. Socialism is demonstrated daily by the administration. He employs the political power of labor unions, e.g. the “worker”. He courts racists in the White House, and clearly he has an anti-white agenda. Also Barry uses veiled and not so veiled references to violence, and has explicitly stated the desire to have his own political militia. His primary tool is leveraging political favors to busnesses that “play ball”, and crush the others with punative new legislation. Much of Barry’s ideology as spelled out in “Dreams” is his My Struggle which galvanized his electorate. What that all spells is left as an exercise to the reader.
Let me see if I’ve got this straight:
1. Obama spends 3 years giving trillions of borrowed Chinese money away to his union, Acorn and Planned Parenthood buddies;
2. After a decade of working behind the scenes to destroy the housing market, his Dimwitted friends in Congress pass even more legislation and regulations to completely destroy the economy and ensure no hiring and increased unemployment.
3. As a result of his nim-rod actions for the past 3 years, the country is on a collision course with disaster—not much we can do to stop it, no matter what we do now, thanks to 1 and 2.
4. He sets it up so that when the SHTF (and it will), it will all be “because they didn’t pass his stupid “JOBS” bill.”
5. MSM and his ‘people’ will believe 4, and blame Bush and the Republican Congress. If he times it right, it will all happen in October ‘12 (surprise!?), and because of the ‘civil unrest’ he will have to remain in office while we postpone elections.
Please tell me where I’m wrong. PLEASE.
This country is already on a perilous path and it is radicals in power such as Obama that have helped put it there.

There is so much stuff coming at us these days that one must really take caution not to get bounced by it.

You can say that again. Sheesh. When I think of friends and family that voted for this, this, thing, I can only shake my head and wonder.

What an idiot. He uses rhetoric like this and then turns around and acts surprised when markets tank and credit ratings get downgraded. He thinks there are no consequences to playing politics in every possible situation.
Well this just proves that a even a broken clock is right twice a day. While I will agree that we are headed down a perilous path, it is BO that is causing the path to be perilous.

I came out of the subway home from work today, and they had closed it for people coming in and wanted them to walk all the way to 86th street. (we’re at the stop on 77th)

My kids when they were little knew more about survival than these clowns.
That has been his reelection strategy from day one.
He tried very, very, hard to start a World War (which is what he really wants), someone more powerful than him called it off and told him to ‘stop it’.
Now, the only thing left is domestic violence and strife. But yes, there is no question the Kenyan wants to stop elections at all costs.
(remember....it is not his country. it is not his money, it is not 'his' people, he does not care in the least what he does to Americans)

How about we repeal all the new laws since 1998, spend at 1998 levels and send Congress home for a 10 year unpaid recess!
