I heard that the Mexican government had throw a number out there. I don’t know if that is an actual count or a “government estimate”.
I’d be very interested to hear what wasn’t included in the excerpts. This last particular excerpt starts to talk about specific pieces of evidence they’re afraid of, but they left that out of the excerpt.
Seems like the dealer is asking whether there was a deal between the US Attorney and DOJ to cover up evidence, and the agent says the FBI is investigating so it all depends on the FBI. But who controls the FBI? And now we know that the FBI DID cover up the F&F connections of the 3rd gun at the murder scene. Seems to me that what this agent said strongly suggests that the DOJ made a deal with the FBI.
This is disturbing...will it change anything, I wonder??? Or will it all just disappear and be forgotton, like the lady who drove into her garage and exploded to death?
Did that really happen.Did they ask him to do a fake confession?
Yes, that really did happen.
In between the “ok, ok...we believe ya...ya didn’t plant the Olympic bomb..” and their little ruse, in fact they took a good deal of time buddying up to him, buttering him up with the old, “Ah shucks, you and we here at the FBI are all on the same team”-type routine.
They knew he had repeatedly applied and failed to become a “real cop” (something he later succeeded in doing, though the slob died about 6 years later, if I recall correctly).
He was VERY close to doing it —they said it would simply be a training film for unrelated matters.
At the last minute he recalled that his college roomate was a lawyer, and he phoned him.
That guy said, “Dick, you stupid slob, you’re being set-up, don’t sign ANYTHING and don’t say anything more to these criminals —get your ass out of there....”
And that’s what he did.
Yup.
Scary, huh? I do not know of similar scenarios, but if they did it in this case it’s possible or even likely they’ve done that before.
That’s exactly correct; the number of guns sky-rocketed, and even included .50’s —the dealer was amazed and petrified, and worried.
The ATF & FBI told him, “Sure...the buyers are being watched, intercepted, and then arrested within 5 miles of your store, and we’re recovering the guns. They’re not going south of the border, into Mexico..”
They told him this forcefully and repeatedly.
And then later they switched around their story completely, suddenly saying that indeed the guns were showing up at Mexican murder scenes, and being traced to his store.
And...as I think you know, that was THEIR PLAN.
Anyone media whore terming this a “botched” operations is doing one thing —aiding a cover-up in MASS MURDER.
But it’s OK, cuz it’s diverse, urban leaders building a Perfect Society.
See?
Thanks gaijin, this is the first time I read of this.Your right ,this is scary.Poor guy.
Specifically, it sounds like “her people” were successful in getting Leahy to stop investigating.
OK, who were “her people” and what exactly did they do, and what did Leahy do in response? These are the sorts of questions that occur in the minds of gun nuts, but not Washington Post reporters.
Sorry, we're speaking of RICO act style murder, and *TREASON* here. A few prison sentences are just not going to suffice. I would like to see appropriate sentences handed down for these crimes, and those sentences involve hypodermic needles...
