American Thinker ^ | Sept 22, 2011 | Brian T. Carter

Posted on 09/22/2011 10:20:57 AM PDT by RobaWho

"Venture Socialism" Perry Style! In Texas, bio-tech firm Convergen LifeSciences looks a lot like Governor Rick Perry's Solyndra. Governor Perry manages the Emerging Technology Fund (ETF), providing financial support to companies developing new technology in the hope of creating high-tech jobs. First created in 2005, ETF is made up of regional panels that screen proposals for a statewide advisory panel (all appointed by Perry). ETF dispersed $342 million through August 2010....Read more to understand the full stench of this Crony Capitalism love story.

There is not a dimes worth of difference between the two RINOs and Obama...here we go again, just like in 2008...nothing but one world government politicians to choose from.

How's that just-winism workin’ out for ya? I think they (NWO) beat you at the game.

Wow, Perry has baggage, what a shock. /s I get that he is not perfect and some of this is troubling but come on, to compare this guy to Romney is just off. I mean, “RomneyCare” I just can’t get that out of my mind and just can’t let Romney off the hook for it PERIOD!!! In my mind RomneyCare moves Mitt into the “need not apply” category.

I am a Texan. I don’t like the sound of this hit piece. I am for Perry and I have to admit this disturbs me. I believe he is more conservative than Romney, saner than Bachman and other than Cain, whom I just love, the rest are just flotsam and jetsom.

We are never going to find a flawless candidate. Even with this ‘revelation’ I still support Perry. And if he takes Cain for VP...it would be ideal.

As you said, ‘did Convergen file bankruptcy?’ And...is it truly ‘venture socialism’?

“Herman Cain. I don’t think 0 can beat any of the R’s, not even Ron Paul. I think we’re making a mistake by rallying around Hecanwin.”

Cain would be slaughtered.

Right now I’m so mad at Texas that I’m going to root for OU for the first time in my adult life. If Perry want’s my vote, you guys better do something about that Longhorn Network.

1. All accusations, no real proof, AND even the article says:

“While these insider practices are shady and unfair to others who were denied similar opportunities, none of this is illegal”

Trying to make Perry look guilty, because Obama’s shady practices — if Obama is guilty, so is Perry is beyond ridiculous, there is NO “moral equivalence” between Obama and Perry, which is what you are trying tocreate.

2. Are you working on starting a “Conservatives for Obama” group?

Let’s knock Perry out of the primary, make sure the conservative vote splits, let Romney be the GOP nominee, so Obama could get reelected. THIS is what “conservatives” are going to accomplish, if you keep up this Perry bashing. Is THAT what you really want?

Headline in 2012 after Obama gets reelected: “Obama’s reelections wouldn’t have been possible without Conservatives knocking out Perry in the primary.”

I agree! RomneyCare makes me puke. PerryCare mandates make me puke. Slick politicians that place party allegiance before the US Constitution and common sense make me puke. We need a full, complete, wholesale garage sale of all Gov’t excess, agencies, crooks, tax codes, etc. Only one person has the stones, courage and exceptional track record of successfully taking on the good ‘ol boy network and kicking their asses. Gov. Sarah Palin.

If we had a fair primary system that didn’t leave our choices in the hands of the MSM........... Oh never mind. They don’t call us the Stupid Party for nothing.

Who the hell is Bryan T. Carter? What other articles has he written, what is his background, why is American Thinker posting an article without giving the readers any background on the author?

“I prefer Perry over Obama.”

Speaking of bad choices, I prefer Hitler over Mao simply because he murdered fewer people.

We need some who is going to slam on the brakes not hit the wall at 90 mph rather than 130 mph.

The problem here for Perry, is that this is “business as usual” in Texas, so it was never a major campaign issue when he ran there, because the RATs would be the first ones to do this as well, and the people basically accepted this as normal. How this method of operating contrasts now with the national political climate (i.e. Palin and “Crony Capitalism”), is a political dynamic that has not even begun to play out (since she’s not even a candidate yet).

None of the current candidates can make this a successful campaign issue, because none of them has fought or taken-on this way of doing business in their political (or non-political) career.

Forget about Obama raising this as an issue. He’s the one who could write the text book on it.

If Palin does get in, then it could be for an interesting campaign, since it would be one of her main campaign points, and she’s got the track record and political scalps to prove it.

Your fatal flaw is describing Perry as a “conservative”. He;s an amnesty shill, a BilderBerg Big Government Progressive. “Governor Hair” is upside in his popularity in his own state of Texas.

The ONLY electable conservative with executive experience and a track record that DESTROYS both Perry & Romney in every single category is Gov. Palin.

You will soon figure this out on your own.

You're right. Anyone who questions Perry is suspect, anyone who praises St. Rick is is to be accepted without question - the Perry fangirl credo.
