Perry's response was forceful and personal. "I don't think you have a heart," Perry told his critics.
"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society. I think that's what Texans wanted to do. Out of 181 members of the Texas legislature when this issue came up [there were] only four dissenting votes. This was a state issue. Texas voted on it. And I still support it today."

I find that immigration is an even more powerful litmus test than gays or healhcare when it comes to seeing who will fold like a cheap chair to Liberalism. I.e, we’re in trouble here.
We desperately need a real conservative to step up their game.

It really is wrong to lump all in with a part of a group. Illegal immigrants can be easily identified in one of thee sub groups. There are those that cross the border to conduct criminal activities. There are those that cross the border to game the system and get a free ride. There are those that come over for work and to send money home to their families. The children brought over are no different, Some of these children become criminals. Some of these children look to game the system and get a free ride. Some of these children work hard in school, stay out of trouble and seek to better themselves.
If we recognize there is no will to deport these children to countries they have no connection to other than by genetics what do you do about them. I have no problem with locking up criminals. I have no problem denying benefits. I have no problem allowing those that are doing the right things to move forward.
How do you know these people? Do they work for you?

No, I refuse to hire illegals or support/purchase/hire anyone who does. I rescinded a rental agreement when I found out my tenant hires illegal aliens. And I reported him. Zero tolerance towards that.
I know them because I lived surrounded by them for over 6 years (husband’s grandmother’s house). I know them because my mother lives surrounded by them. I know them because I went to school with them.
A gang of illegals moved into the house next door (elderly man)under the guise of taking care of him. He went to a nursing home shortly thereafter and they squatted there until the house was taken for back taxes. They also trashed the house and set fire to it as they left. They then moved across the street to another house whose owner just died. They lived there until the house was foreclosed on. Then they moved a block away to another winter house, they burned that down as they left.
And that is just ONE group/family. I know several others who do or have done the same thing. They even brag about it and there are info sheets on how to find houses to squat in.
As any good and smart citizen should do. Thank you for doing your civic duty and educate yourself about the candidates and see for YOURSELF what their record is and not just take the word of campaign hacks and their talking points spin.

They should be arrested and deported. Don't blame Texas. Blame Congress and the last 4 or 5 presidents.

Texas just allows all students who graduate from Texas High Schools to get the in-state tuition rate. I got no problem with that. Sorry.

Hmmm. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Texas is filled with Mexicans, is getting fuller every day because of Perry’s pandering and giveaways.
Rush said we CAN’T LOSE TEXAS to illegal immigration, or the country is over. Perry encourages it.

I agree. Rush has insulted my intelligence somewhat with some of his Perry cheerleading. I know he’s doing it cuz WE GOTTA BEAT OBAMA (which is true).

That is the problem. Legal aliens waited, filled out the paperwork, paid the fees, did what they were supposed to do to be here legally.
Illegals shouldn’t be given the same benefits. We shouldn’t reward line cutters.
Both my father and stepfather (both came here legally and both became US citizens the proper way) would be having strokes over this!
