(D) Waxman disappointed the executives are taking the fifth. Pointing out the republicans pressed for loans in their states too. Climate change is real...we need to take these risks. Republicans are using this as an excuse to defund alternative energy.

(R)Terry: Investing in businesses in our states was legit. Solyndra was a scam for press and for a major shareholder that was Obama donor. These questions could have been answered but we are not receiving answers today.

(D) Markey: GOP using this single example to attack all alternative energy. We don’t know if this was corruption.

(R) Murphy cites NYTimes about how Solyndra was already “rotting” before Obamas visit. You knew titaninc was sinking and made sure connected investors got lifeboats before the taxpayers.

Yes they were corrupt but that happens thru-out government. Its no reason to stop funding alternative energy. I’m shocked at the conduct but should not be used to attack alternative energy.

They are trying to cram 8 billion more in funding before we find out what is going on. I wish we could invest in crime scene tape to rope off the entire industry until we get a hold on whats going on.

One need not attack alternative energy to say that the government has no business funding it or any other for-profit venture. I hope someone on the R side is saying so.

I’m upset at the execs taking the 5th as their testimony would probably help them. 5th is a right in constitution we must respect. Many have supported funding in their own districts for special projects. Don’t use this one example to stop all funding of alternative energy research.

You told us you were going to triple your output. You told us all sorts of things when you wanted the money. Now you are quiet. What are you trying to hide or coverup.

You can take the 5th, its your right we will respect...but we WILL find out what happened. Name one thing you have done to help our country.

They told us they would testify. They also told us the company was sound. Taxpayers deserve to know. Nothing but silence now...we deserve better.

This is stellar, they are having to answer with pleading the 5th, it makes them look guilty as hell.
