Chris Christie Reconsidering 2012 Run, Will Decide in Days
Newsmax via Drudge ^

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race — and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

I`d been hoping for the same thing. Beating Obama should be the goal, but the Repubs` attacks on each other are more intense than I`ve seen in a long time. Certainly they need to one-up each other, but every message should be centered on undoing the massive damage the enemy has done to this country. Instead they`re just giving him a free set of TOTUS talking points.

Coulter is happy tonight for some reason.

Why does Coulter think she is crazy about him? Does anyone know. Just curious.

I’m not voting for Romney, and that is what it is coming down to. It’s his turn, we’ll start hearing. I’d vote for the fat man.

“But it was a follow-up question on the fear of Sharia Law that set the governor off. “Sharia Law has nothing to do with this at all, it’s crazy!” he cried. “The guy is an American citizen!” He concluded that the “Sharia Law business is just crap… and I’m tried of dealing with the crazies,” adding with disgust and frustration that “it’s just unnecessary to be accusing this guy of things just because of his religious background.”

I for one and weary of Bristals various “meet the Press” episodes Grey. She does her mother no service by these antics. Bristal needs to cool her jets and I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Christie grabbed attention and some adoration because he BULLIED the unions.

Which means he is a bully when something doesn’t go his way.

Notice how he is stamping his feet about the muslim judge:

“If you don’t agree with me - you are stupid”.

Not showing respect for American Citizens on one issue - will be repeated on many issues.

I'm in agreement with you! Yes, we want the most conservative candidate as possible, and no, we're not going to get the perfect candidate. Although, I probably disagree with Christy on social matters, his fiscal discipline, to date, has been quite good. Going up against the unions in New Jersey isn't the easiest thing to do, but he has and successfully. I like his candor and his no nonsense approach to issues.

Perry, who I also really like and would likely support, has gone off the deep end on immigration and has given me pause as to supporting him.

Good grief! I so strongly agree with you!!!

There is NO perfect candidate and never will be. The acronym, RINO, has been overused to the point of sheer stupidity.

(I would not have included Romney in that same list of examples though.)

I don’t care for Ann Coulter much.

She is just in it to sell insipid books for coffee table displays...

Not sure how people can keep a straight face when they mention Perry and Reagan in the same sentence, I know I can not.

Perry missed the Reagan revolution, I challenge him on his aids statements that he voted for Reagan twice

“How right you are Astronaut. If you aren’t “pure” here on FreeRepublic, then you are outcast. Reagan would be thrown to the wolves.

Ironic as hell.”

I agree with you and Astronaut. Then there’s the horrible verbal abuse he is getting from the same people for his weight. Very low-class.....and not charitable at all. What has happened to FreeRepublic lately?

These same types would not only call Reagan a RINO. They’d probably find similar fault with God Himself.

“Way too fat.”

Can you make any other superficial statements of criticism? If you are “way too skinny,” should we even listen to you?

“They are convinced they are somehow advancing the conservative cause and seem oblivious to the fact that they are making it more and more likely a moderate or a liberal will be our next POTUS.”

Agree. By the way, I really like the way Gingrich has performed in the debates. I’d LOVE to see him take on Obama in the same venues. The expressions on Obama’s face alone would be worth watching. ;-)

“Coulter is an idiot.

Her praise of Chris Christie is only proof of this.”

How many books have you written that support the conservative cause? What? You only write ad hominem posts, you say? Ahhhhhh.... I thought so....

I’m 350 and he’s a LOT bigger than I am, from every photo I’ve seen. Betting he’s at least 400-450lbs.
