That’s what I was thinking. Some of us need to start screaming at John Boehner. Congress better get its ass either in gear or chewed off.

Good book. After reading it I gained a new respect for pig farming.

Obviously IMM, the Sacketts bought that teeny parcel out from under someone in/connected with the local EPA wanting it ! No explanation - other than personal animus at the EPA level o- makes sense!

Or, in a completely silly bent -which most of the history of this dispute seemingly exemplifies - is it just possible some EPA troll hates Louis LaAmour and his “Sackett characters ? >PS

The only way you’ll get boehner’s attention is if you play a round of golf with him.

Exactly. We The People granted limited, enumerated powers to Congress. Congress has no right to assign those powers to a third party.

Imagine granting power of attorney to someone, who, without your permission, gave it to someone else.

Exact same thing and both are illegal. There is no moral or Constitutional reason to comply with agency diktats.

Have read other articles on water becoming more and more under the control of not only the federal govt but the UN. The EPA is very powerful and wealthy. Read about the state of Calif recently and the greenies taking control of privately owned and stocked ponds by enormous fines ...it is in court now too. Can’t remember the details and would have to google it but believe it involved finding an endangered species (yellow legged frog?) IMO they are one of the most dangerous and costly agencies in this country...someone has to stop them.

Thank you for posting that! many Americans are not aware of the UN involvement. The EPA is so powerful it boggles the mind and they are interwoven with the UN. There will be a huge battle over water. Some states even issued fines for having rain barrels on your own property...soon water will be regulated and even if you own a pond on your property..beware of the epa

To me, this has always been the face of the EPA.

TSA as it exists
MASA = Muslim Air and Space

Actually, the EPA has many good, competent scientists doing legitimate research. They aren't in charge, though. The EPA is run by appointed bureaucrats, who aren't scientists and understand nothing of ecology. That's where the problems come in. If the EPA were shifted back to its scientific mission, to identify and research actual environmental threats, it wouldn't be a problem.

Stop with the facts...you'll gum up the hyperbole!

Clear cut case of government confiscation without due process - or even a good reason.

Just some commissar somewhere, drunk with power, deciding he’ll push his weight around.

Said commissar should be forced to write out the Bill of Rights ten thousand times, then fired.

Along with about half the personnel of the federal government.

walk away and head for Canada.

I lived in Canada for 8 years. Believe me the tree-fascists are far worse up there than down in the USA.

then the states should start flexing the 10th amendment and demanding that the EPA back off

You can expect the Second Coming before that happens.

“...hence it is that he who attempts to get another man into his absolute power does thereby put himself into a state of war with him; it being to be understood as a declaration of a design upon his life. For I have reason to conclude that he who would get me into his power without my consent would use me as he pleased when he had got me there, and destroy me too when he had a fancy to it; for nobody can desire to have me in his absolute power unless it be to compel me by force to that which is against the right of my freedom- i.e. make me a slave. To be free from such force is the only security of my preservation, and reason bids me look on him as an enemy to my preservation who would take away that freedom which is the fence to it; so that he who makes an attempt to enslave me thereby puts himself into a state of war with me.”

From John Locke's 2nd treatises on government.

I’ve been after my Senators for some time about the EPA. Unfortunately Corker and Alexander both seem to be tilting more to the left daily.
Call them by their real names, Alexswindler and Porker.

EPA is just like most other gov. agencies.

A jobs program for college grads with useless degrees in "Womyn Studies","Afro - American History" and various other liberal arts junk like "basket weaving".

The "do - gooders" want to come into your home and run your life because we are not smart like "them".

well when the 'enforcers' of the collections dept of a private company show up with a 'garbage summons' wearing kevlar and glocks, it doesnt really matter if a lien is in the works or not...

that particular overreach is destined to get somebody hurt eventually...

funny thing is, like SS, if you never sign up for the trash collection, you arent required to have it...but like the mob, once you take the protection, you aint allowed to cancel, or miss a payment...

I’m a 65 year old “baby boomer” who is willing to fight for our freedom the same way my ancestors did.
How much longer will this erosion of our freedoms continue before we the people demand our constitutional rights be respected?

I’ve wondered how the Germans let Nazis take over, now I know. We’re doing the same thing.
