Gosh it’s good to see the Democrats fighting with each other. 40% of the voters in this country believe that they can control the Democrat party and use them to take money from the other 60% of the voters. All they have to do is have the Republicans fight among themselves. Dear Republican candidates; run on your record. If your record isn’t so good, tell people you’ve changed. Let's see, Herman Cain beats The Willard like a rented mule and does the Willard respond directly? No, because he is so far up the Romney/ObamaCare tree he can't climb down. But Herman Cain, God bless him, showed once for all that The Willard can't get the nomination. Moreover, even if the Rino wing, in its death throes, somehow manages to force The Willard's nomination, they will have re-elected the undocumented chimpanzee and doomed the country club wing of the Republican party - umm - no great loss.

And all Real Americans must now pray that Sarah Palin and Herman Cain are working from the same page.

Actually, I agree with Romney’s assessment.

The primary race is now a war between the Tea Party and the Establishment.

The Tea Party has chosen it’s candidate and the establishment will fight tooth and nail for the ‘moderate’ candidate of their picking. (No, it’s not racist. They just want the guy who they now will play ball.)

We are going to have to bring it hard until the caucus and, for once, the average Joe has to actually show up to vote.

We’ll get the candidate that we deserve.

You know what this article reminds me of? One day back in 2004 I walked by a local lib weekly with the cover story “How Kerry Can Still Win the Nomination,” and I laughed at how clueless that paper was. Everyone, and I mean everyone, knew there was no way Kerry would be the Dem nominee.

The same minds that made the problems we face..are not capable of the solutions. That tosses out the two putative “front runners” right there. That’s called a dose of reality.

What other minds may rise to the top? That’s what the 2012 Republican Primary season is about. So far of all the runners...as far as I can tell, Cain is the freshest mind out there.

Stating Perry's demise is a bit too soon...

Rick Perry won the Wakulla Republican Club’s straw poll, held on its website on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The votes were:

Rick Perry – 42.86%
Mitt Romney - 28.57 %
Herman Cain – 19.05%
Jon Huntsman – 9.52%

The remaining candidates – Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum received no votes.

Gordon McCleary, the Wakulla Republican Club’s President said, “It will be interesting to see how this vote matches up with Presidency 5. Wakulla mirrors the makeup of the Sunshine State so I believe the results are representative of Republicans as a whole.”

If Romney was behind Cain’s win (which I doubt),the cure may be worse than the disease, for them. Cain needed a breakout, needed to get out from the bottom tier and gain national publicity. If by sabotaging Perry, Romney created a candidate conservatives could unify around (assuming Sarah stays out) it could be the means to prevent a repeat of McLame. The conservative vote has to unify around one candidate or we end up with Romney (unless Christie jumps in to dilute the establishment vote).
