Now, that’s flat out bizarre. Nothing I wrote got even close to saying that. You might want to go back and read what I actually wrote.

“Rick Perry has done more for border security than any candidate running for President.”

::::::::::::

Maybe he has. But we still have tens of millions of ILLEGALS stealing American taxpayer wealth, filling our jails, threatening our security and safety, and still flowing across an open border that any of our enemies can come across at will. The politician that CLOSES OUR BORDER with a 100% fence and STOPS the flow of illegals hands down, will have my attention. Our federal government has failed us miserably — all to change the voting demographic to the left. And the pansies don’t want to get their hands dirty with cleaning up America. Talk is cheap. Politicians are weak and corrupt. Our problem is still there and getting bigger by the day.

I have no problem with your post except for the fence thing. I have posted some pics to HIgh Tech Redneck on this thread if you want to check them out.

That said, every candidate running or not is pandering. No one is going to build the fence. They all are talking about the same thing except Perry knows what he is talking about and the situation on the ground. The rest don't.

Assuming you are a Palin supporter, you may want to know her positions:

Palin Position on Immigration

• According to Palin there are 12 million illegal immigrants in the US and deporting them is not possible economically as well as it is not a humane way of dealing with the issue. They should be made to follow rules and made to understand that legal immigrants should have the first preference of opportunities provided by this great country. If they follow the rules they can be treated fairly and equally in the country.

• Not having expressed her views on illegal immigration often, Sarah supports citizenship for illegal immigrants but feels there is no amnesty for the illegal immigrants. Priority should be given to the legal immigrants before granting opportunities to the illegal ones.

• She has reached out to the illegal immigrants requesting their needs. She feels that they require more vocational training, the end of gang violence, assistance to seniors and mostly outreach and communication within their communities. Palin insists on a diversity task force.

I do have a question that you might be able to answer - is much land on the US side of the Rio Grande owned by private entities?

I think it’s mostly ranch land.

So ranchers use the land down to the riverbanks and use the water?

I just had to interrupt this thread and tell you thanks for the link! I went to school in the eighties, and we used to watch some PBS-type program that sang a few songs (and we sang along) that I have had in my head for thirty years, and that was one of them! I am part nuts, I think, and have a song going around in my head most of the time, and this was one that I had never heard in any other venue (and never thought to look up, I guess). :) I just heard another one a few months ago and was just as astounded (that one was on an Elmo CD for one of my kids).
Of course, I will be singing this song for the next few days, but at least now I know I can go and find it and actually figure out the words and not just sing blah blah blah blah, Tzena, Tzena, Tzena” and torture myself! :)

In places I have been, there are barb wire fences to keep in cattle, but there are usually tanks on the land that the cattle drink from.

>>I don’t think anybody questions what Perry policy would be towards Israel and the Middle East situation.<<

Except that he plays both sides of the fence so don’t put me in that catagory.

Perry quote from speech: “It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership. We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.”

Now here is what scripture says about someone who gives credence to someone who “preaches another gospel”.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8-9

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Notice the “partaker of his evil deeds”? Perry has put himself in a very dangerous position. If he is “partaker” then I would propose that anyone who gives him the same deference is also a “partaker”. I will not support Perry for that and other reasons. I would suggest that anyone who professes Jesus as savior be very careful about supporting anyone who gives Muslims the type of support that Perry does.

>> Rick Perry has done more for border security than any candidate running for President.<<

Well now let’s take a look at that. Everyone should know how the North American Union fits into the One World Government model. Then how the TTC (Trans Texas Corridor) fits into the North American Union. Perry’s lies about his involvement in the TTC is rather telling. His comment of agreeing with the President of Mexico on open borders is scary.

Here’s an article about Rick Perry and the North American Union and the Trans Texas Corridor.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=14229

Quess who is trying to get you to believe that the TTC (Trans Texas Corridor) is a myth? You may have guessed it but its: http://mediamattersaction.org/reports/fearandloathing/online_version That’s right! Media Matters. Now why would they not want you to know that there is anything such as the TTC? Hmmmm!

I wonder if the TTC is just a myth what is Perry was talking about when he was describing the TTC in this video. He and the President of Mexico tell how it will come from Mexico to Canada like Vicente Fox explains in this same video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXdhph3pwXk This video is something everyone should see.

Perry even vetoed a bill that would have protected the rights of land and homeowners. By vetoing that bill he left open the possibility of confiscating the land to use for the TTC.

Rick Perry is not who we need leading this country.

Since you are obviously NOT a Palin supporter, I am not the slightest bit surprised that you would cherrypick “statements” like this and attribute them to her. But you are wrong. As usual.

Hey, don’t talk like that. I found out it’s that our eyes are getting better because we don’t have to be so close to read any more! We can read better with the paper at arms lenth!! And it’s not that disease that causes us to forget things either. I forget what disease that is but it’s not that.
