Add in promoting the fairy tax, which has now morphed into 999 as a first step.
Put together I doubt his current popularity will last once folks start checking.
I do like Cain though and would pull the handle for him if it came to that. It wont.
Cain seriously worried me when he said his choice for vice president would be Mitt Romney.
The plan is a starting point. None the less, it would lower taxes on many that pay taxes now. It eliminates the payroll taxes on Medicare and Medicaid which is 7.65% for all workers. This DOES NOT include the 8% or more, that the employer pays on the employees behalf.
The flat 9% on Business would make the U.S. one of the lowest effective tax rate for business taxes in the World. It would be a boon to businesses and subsequently job creation.
I hate the sales tax, however, it would capture a large amount of people who pay no taxes on income by working under the table, IE ILLEGAL ALLIENS!. All states have a payroll tax, so the collection is already done for the government.
The IRS can be eliminated or scaled back to bare bones and yo could do your tax returns in two minutes on the size of a post card.
My wife and I spend many hours reporting our taxes even with Software. We also have boxes of records and dozens of pages of tax returns every year and like I told her ‘We don't even make any money to speak of!”
Please show a source showing Cain supporting affirmative action. He’s on record as being against quotas, as shown by this 2004 article:

“But the court gave the go-ahead to the University of Michigan law school to consider race on a case-by-case basis. This is very tricky. If it means that economically impoverished kids who happen to be minorities should get consideration for assistance, that’s great. If that means that minorities get slots in place of white kids with better academic credentials, then that is not fair.
College acceptance should be based on how well a student has performed and excelled in school. Like everything else in life, people need to earn what they get, and earn it by working hard. Quotas are not the answer and they never will be.”
