Sarah Palin: Being president could ‘shackle’ me
Yahoo News, The Ticket ^ | 9/28/2011 | Rachel Rose Hartman

Sarah Palin certainly didn't sound interested in running for president last night.

"Is a title worth it-- does a title shackle a person?" the former Alaska governor asked during a discussion of her 2012 plans with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren. "Someone like me, who's maverick--you know I do 'go rogue' and I call it like I see it and I don't mind stirring it up ... [for] somebody like me, is a title and is a campaign too shackling?"

"Does a title take away my freedom to call it like I see it and to effect positive change that we need in this country? That's the biggest contemplation piece in my [decision] process," Palin said.

Palin said Tuesday that time is running out. Filing deadlines, requiring candidates to register to appear on state presidential primary ballots, are approaching in several states.

what title do you think she was referring to, in addition to a campaign, that might be shackling?

I’m slowly coming around to that feeling myself. I still want her to run, but if she doesn’t, I’ll be perfectly happy supporting Cain.

If She is sincere about her political aspirations, She should be unifying the party. I’m not seeing that happen...so far.

For all the people constantly whining for Governor Palin to announce she is running for President now, how exactly is her choosing to wait negatively affecting your life? Why must you know now?

Is Governor Palin not providing an answer at this time preventing you from actually doing something?

If the answer is no, then relax.

I seem to remember Gingrich a couple of election cycles ago saying that he would not enter the race because he felt he could get more accomplished for the cause of conservatism out of office than in it. That is when he launched American Solutions.

She may be thinking in that realm, which to some extent has its merits.

I’ll ignore your sarcasm if that’s what it is. But you do admit she’s the best candidate for the job?

I can't wait for Jim Robinson to ZOT your lying ass. I hope Todd Palin meets you by chance one day and recognizes you.

Was being governor also like being shackled?

Yes, apparently.

Have you read about Cain yet? I think Perry is more of the same, Cain looks different.

Really? I wonder, then, what made McCain pick her. All due respect (and I don’t mean that sarcastically), Conservatives certainly knew her; and JSM knew he needed a real one on his ticket.

Apparently you don’t read well: “...[for] somebody like me, is a title and is a campaign too shackling?”

The “title” she speaks of is POTUS. Odd that she calls it a “title.” Perhaps your post is “incompetent”?
