FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.; Govs. Martin O'Malley, D-Md., and Haley Barbour, R-Miss.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Cain; Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz; Senior foreign affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz; Roundtable: George Will, ABC News senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper, Philadelphia Enquirer reporter Matt Katz, Republican strategist Nicolle Wallace and Democratic strategist Mark Penn.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz; former CIA Director Michael Hayden; former Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif.; Barbour.
Did anyone catch the question Chrisianne Amamediawhore lied about Perry “owning” the ranch in the question to Herman Cain then later admit is was leased? When you lease a car do you own it? NO!
Cain destroyed her BTW.
oooops...didn’t know that.
I saw some of that interview. Looked like to me that Dandy Candy, who gets made over every couple of weeks but she's still a porker, was only there to get the Cheneys ti kneel. To tell how wonderful the Dear Leader is. And how he is prosecuting the war just like GW except for that "horrible torture of waterboarding."
It was all BS. All agenda driven. Typical CNN interview.
The Big Mew took a look at the pic and thought: Album cover of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.
My first thought: Laurel and Hardy.
I didn’t see all of that but would not surprise me. Is it just me or is Christianne just plain dumb?
Laurel and Hardy, just too good!
I needed to refresh my recollection. And the Big Mew just reminded me the "riding the gravy train" lyric is from a song on that album.
Bernard: Not to defend the governor, but to paraphrase Dr. King, I have a dream that some day a man will be judged by the content of his character and not the volume of his skin.
A person's race (color of his skin) is separate from his character. The color of a person's skin has zero to do with that person's behavior, vision, priorities, and self-discipline.
A person's obesity is PURELY the result of behavior, vision, priorities, and self-discipline.
Judging a man by the "content of his character and not the volume of his skin ...." Let's say you're looking for a fitness trainer and nutrition counselor. You'd be a fool not to judge the trim one with glowing, healthy skiin as better for your needs than the fat one with the bad complexion -- regardless of what race EITHER one was.
Anecdotally speaking: In my work, I deal with many very successful entrepreneurs. About 8 out of 10 of those successful folks make it a priority to include a fitness routine in their very busy schedules because THEY KNOW that being fit and healthy affects their brains as well as their bodies.
Achieving and maintaining good physical looks is a side effect; the REAL goal is to achieve and maintain a better mental state. Eating smart and staying physically fit AFFECTS THE BRAIN AND THE PSYCHE in a good way. Eating stupidly and being sedentary affects the brain and the psyche in a bad way. You may not like it -- I sure don't like having to get up before sunrise in order to be able to squeeze a workout into my day, and I sure don't like that I can't just eat a donut for breakfast and have done with it -- but whether or not I like it has zero to do with the reality. It's like the law of gravity -- it's there whether I like it or not.
Indeed, Christie's obesity IS a reflection on the "content of his character."
Thanks good music no question.
Sorry, but somebody had to do it.
I can’t find The Week on my TV listings or is it on radio?
Yes! That occurred to me a little while after I posted. It may even help Herman Cain now that he has been acknowledged (at least by some) to be top tier.
If Christie hops in with big numbers (and who is he going to take from but Mitt?) and then crashes and burns, people will be looking to the leaders to switch to which will feature Cain. I hope.
PB, take a look at #172: This morning, C. Amanpour tried to play gotcha with Herman Cain, quoting CC saying that the fears Cain and other conservatives have voiced about Sharia Law creeping into our country is just crazy. Herman stayed calm and said, well, then, call me crazy. LOL, you've got your guy.
You are so right. She grills them about the WMD in Iraq, a subject so old it’s rusty, she goes after silly stuff...nothing remotely today, just a harangue...and a boring one at that.
Just cause I want to put my two cents in here and don’t go thinking I’m all fit and trim....but I had a heart bypass, I got a dog, and I got to get up early and get out to exercise for an hour and a half every day just to push my blood through my body, get it moving. And the dog needs to run as well.
Christie is a walking target for criticism as, I say softly, he’s not pudgy, or fluffy....he’s very, very, unhealthily, heavy.
And yes, I judge him on that. You don’t have to be skinny, I’ll even go for some twenty/twenty fives pound beyond what should be as maybe I don’t have room to talk. But being nice here, Christie’s got fifty extra pounds packed on, being honest, he should lose 70+ pounds.
We’ll spend his entire campaign watching fat people do funny things, puns with “overweight” will flood the air waves....sorry....but I’ll state that it’s more his liberalism and endorsement of Mike Castle that has me mad at him but his weight is an issue, do not delude yourself.
Actually, on the RINO side it used to be Chuck Hagel. They absolutely loved him.
If Christy jumps in it will be an earthshaking development of seismic proportions, possibly leading to tectonic shifts in the political landscape...
Clarification: Bush DID commute Libby’s sentence. What he did NOT do was give him a full pardon, which has kept him from practicing law.
Libby did not go to jail due to the commutation. cheney wanted him to have a full pardon.
I do not know Bush’s reasoning on this, but what I do know are the results.
Very good and commendable!
We should all profess and do as Bray has said!
So she's got until then. S.C. is the conservative balance to the more Liberal Iowa caucuses and the Libertarian NH primary. Sarah will need her name on the Ballot in S.C.
I'm really hoping she'll run. Our Alabama primary isn't until February 7th, and the deadline to enter is 29 January, so I can wait until then!
Well said, Johnnie.
Now watch some democrat try to argue that getting rid of the lobbyists will take jobs away from people who depend on their billions of $$!
Too bad not everyone can be quite so perfect....
Oh my, well you got me laffing out loud here but you make my case.
Also, anybody don’t think the liberals will make the election about skinny versus fat, and I don’t know how yet but I’m pretty sure that skinny will be the victor...and we’ll spend our time defending our fat guy.
I mean how old will that get real quick? I don’t know what the Rove/Bush/Blue Blood cabal is thinking urging this guy to move on. Christie should go on a diet, have one of those tie things on the stomach like Nadler did, before anyone tries to talk him into a presidential race.
Of course, then I still won’t like him as from the start he alienated me with his endorsement of Mike Castle.
I’m so far from perfect I can’t see it with a pair of powerful binoculars.
But your comment is so intelligent and offers much insight....congrats to you!
Jake Tapper said Perry didn’t own the ranch and Christianne corrected him and said they leased it.
She lied through her teeth in the Cian interview just before the round table when she posed the question that Perry owned it. Lying POS she is.
GWB should have fought back against the libtards and their position that he was conducting âWarrantless Wiretapsâ - no such thing existed if one studies what was really transpiring. But boy did it make good fodder for the RAT party and the insane libtards. They were even able to bring a witness to the scene - they AT&T guy that saw NSA installing a secret room in San Francisco (he never even has a confidential clearance let alone TS). Big deal - the NSA had to tap into the circuits somewhere. I could go into much more here but why bother - the left hates FACTS.
Understatement of the year, Ken!
I'msopoor would've been a big upgrade, that's for sure.
Hah. Christie looks fat but he doesn’t look like a prissy sissy.
That was Richard "Dick" Armitage.
NPR plays reruns of all the shows in the afternoon.
But Christie is obese. Someone who is obese is like someone who is anorexic: seriously messed up in the head. As far as I'm concerned, it IS a red flag that IS a legitimate issue.
Your comments may sound trite but the aren’t. As one who ate my share of donuts, apple pie, milkshakes and the rest I gotta tell ya I miss it all. But I know what it does to the the body. Nothing good.
LOL! good one Sal!
Yeah marginal at best. What’s worse is JD used to be pretty good on the air and he was terrible yesterday sitting in for her.
Fortunately, it’s much to late to be drinking coffee.LOL!
NOw that I am off sugar I don’t even go for the rum and cokes anymore.Good one buddy.
Thanks for that. I stated to look it up and than I didn’t, should have.
I guess bottom line is I always thought that 43 should have stood up for Scooter. But, who knows all the intricate inside details I’m sure I don’t.
OK Im Hitler, now what?
Bush Admits Hes Hitler!
Anti-Defamation League Demonstrates at White House!
GOP Policies Revealed as Fascist!
Congressman Weiner Calls for Impeachment!
You left out:
"Senators McCain and Graham condemn Bush's Hitlerian policies, call for Bush to reach across the aisle."
Aren’t you saying that IF ONLY he would be as responsible as you....then perfection could be obtained....in your eyes? Am I reading you wrong?? Several comments about the mans “obesity” and your solution in your own life. Implying that you have the answer for this mans problem because you are responsible and he’s not? I just find it distasteful for a persons appearance to be trashed under the guise of caring. I doubt that if the man weighed 150lbs. you would vote for him. He’s a RINO.
I dont care if you insult me. I’m numb to hurt feelings.
I can't believe as closely as I thought I followed Palin I still don't have a clue which way she will go.
But, oh what delightful fun it is to make fun of him!! I get it....I’ll quit. Enjoy. I’m sure you will
ON the other hand I watched the Cain interview with Chris Wallass and he was nothing short of brilliant.especially when Wallasss got all his 9-9-9 stats wrong and had to be corrected.
I can't decide whether Cain's lack of holding a political office is a plus or a minus.
I guess a the potus level you should have had some experience holding a political office but in this environment of political office holders achieving a 9% positive rating (out of 100%)among the public maybe it's not such a big deal.
What’s a matter Jeff? No one to change your diaper today.Poor guy!
I don’t know and at this point I apologize for having offended you in some way.
If I were to dig deep I guess I was saying, in response to the poster to whom I was commenting, that I too have to get up early in the morn to exercise and I’d sure like to sleep late.
But you win, ok. My comment was not germane, maybe I was bragging, perhaps I should have kept quiet.
All part of my great imperfection.
Moving on....but you can keep on commenting, you have the last word....enjoy.
On the favorable side CBS This Morning had a nice story on John Wayne this morning. Hope folks had a chance to see that.
Dick Cheney was asked about this booing incident and once again I must rail against the “voices” of the GOP, always apologetic, always reaching across the aisles with perfectly polished fingernails. As you said John McCain did by just accepted the Lamestream description of the incident.
For those couple of people did NOT boo that soldier, they booed his assertion that the army should continue on this trumped of mission of socialist change by not stopping on the elimination of the DADT.
Cheney DID clarify this when he was grilled; John McCain did not.
This is why we lose....our own side lets them get away with it.
Of course everyone knows that since 1970s’ McCain has been a traitor, selling out his fellow POWs. He got soft treatment due to his father AND grandfather being Admirals [also why he was admitted to Annapolis and aviator school]. He has been a “maverick” (i.e. an insurgent against Republicans) most of his elected life. He loves adoration by media (who wouldn’t? Oh, yea, Darrell Issa, Dennis Kucinich, Dick Cheney). With McCain, as with Dole before him: “It was their turn”. Even though McCain undermined Dubya’s entire presidency. Unforgivable, but, alas, forgiven by the RINOs and the National Republican Committee and Convention. The only thing McCain has EVER done worth a crap (and a lot mor ethan that) is selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate. That was a master stoke. But the moron started apologizing for it immediately. Just makes one sick! He must have picked Sarah just to PO the other contenders, like Romney.
Boy, oh boy! Is Kristol and company in for a major rude awakening. I hope that DH and I are a clear microcosm of center-right America and I’ll say this...there’s no way in hell we’re going to vote for someone just because it’s that person or an Obama second term. I’d rather have an Obama second term with hopefully with a Republican controlled congress than to have to hold my nose and vote for another RINO. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
