Honor Begins at Home
Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.
While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they're quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark.
When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God ... and to their children?
Filled with action-packed police drama, COURAGEOUS is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. Riveted moviegoers will once again find themselves laughing, crying, and cheering as they are challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who long to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children.
Protecting the streets is second nature to these men. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That's courageous.
It is a great movie. I would encourage everyone to go see it. I saw it yesterday.
Not to give away the story, but, the plot involves how these police officers deal with being fathers, and as religious men, learning how God has called them to be the best fathers that they can be.
The religious message of the movie is there, however, even those who are not deeply religious will appreciate the positive messages about being a good father, and the involvement of fathers in their children’s lives.
When I saw the movie, the audience burst into spontaneous applause as the movie ended. I think it touched a lot of people. I saw a few visible tears as well, even among some of the men in the audience.
Its on my list of movies to watch & buy. If its as good as Fireproof I know I’ll love it.
Here is the exciting opening scene.

I saw it yesterday and again today! Brought a friend to see it today that I knew would be deeply touched by it’s Christian message.
It is a lot better than Fireproof...and I like Fireproof a lot!
This movie will change your life...
A powerful movie....wonder what secular America thinks about it. I ran out of tears.
Another “Christian message” movie that should not be ignored is Soul Surfer. My hats off to Helen Hunt and Dennis Quade for doing what few in Hollywood would dare to do today - putting themselves in a Christian movie. I love this movie not only because it is well done, but because of the untold number of young people this movie witnessed too.

Don’t forget Contagon. Hollywood is putting out a ton of good movies this year. Contage=on is incredibly good.
You sure about Contagion? Looks like a libtard movie to me. Every known lib is in the movie from Matt Dumb-on and directed by lib Soderbergh.
No....seriously it is good.
I have to second this one! Dennis Quade supposedly took the role without even reading it.
We’ve seen it enough that my 7 year old almost has it memorized and I turned into “that” mom this summer by going to two different meet and greets to meet Bethany Hamilton. I have to admit I was a little star struck by her poise and that she treated every little girl (and the boys, I just happened to be in back of and in front of girls both times) in her line like they were the most important person to her. It was quite sweet to watch.
Saw it yesterday with my wife. Now encouraging my two adult sons to see it. Great movie. We need more like this.
The next step of course is to make “The Resolution” yourself. This is a movement...not just entertainment. You can get the resources you need to get started at this website: http://www.courageousresources.com/
Good luck and God Bless!
