New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has decided against entering the race for president, likely ending once and for all the GOP establishments hope for a new candidate in the 2012 race.
Christie has scheduled a 1 p.m. press conference in his states capital, where hes expected to announce that he will not seek the presidency. Two sources said he has started informing people of his decision in advance of his Trenton press conference.
He is not running, said a fundraiser informed of the decision. Mary Pat and the gov just called tier one [donor] group to say he was out.

Cain 2012
Yaaaay!
I listened to him say he would not run. It’s official. He said the people of NJ are stuck with him!
Once and for all? Is palin for sure out?
Cain 2012

HECK YEAH!!!
But the question remains: “Will Christie run for president?”< /s>
Just an opinion....But Cain is ridiculous...the one candidate which would guarantee Obama a win.
This Christie press conference was a deliberate grenade-lob into the Palin camp. This was the republican party’s last desperate stab at keeping her at bay.
Repeatedly, over and over, Christie harped on the fact that he felt obligated to complete his term as the governor of NJ.
Christie is principled. Christie loves his state. Christie cares for the voters of his state - blah blah blah
Implying, of course, that some Alaskan governor abandoned her state and constituency midterm.
Run Sarah Run - and take Cain or Rubio with you.
Whew! That’s a weight off my mind.
She has a different strategy, I am sure. Either she jumps in after Romney an Perry destroy each other and/or tank in the polls, *or* she plays kingmaker in both the presidential and congressional elections, using her fame and prestige to get truly conservative candidates elected in congress and the senate.
I think she’s smart enough to know that without tea party control of house and senate being President would be a fool’s errand and do more damage to the cause than good.
And, as bad as Obama is, beating a sitting president takes a Reagan, and we don’t have a gipper in the wings at the moment.
I could be wrong, but I think Palin is going to aim for 2016 and in the meantime build up a *LOT* of favors (and I do mean a LOT, you know any appearance or hers will be a MAJOR fundraising deal for a congressperson)and political capital for the run as well as getting a staunchly conservative ‘base’ in congress. She’s young and time is on her (and our) side; it’s not like President Obama is suddenly going to gain functional competence and make things better in 5 years than they are now.
I hope Sarah runs in ‘12. The rest of the Republican field is Lilliputians. Four more years of Zero? Yecch.
Why not? He also said Global Warming is real and man is at least partly responsible. He also said being here as an illegal was not really against the law.
Your Post #12 makes a lot of sense.
Why not? He also said Global Warming is real and man is at least partly responsible. He also said being here as an illegal was not really against the law.
He also said that he joined Weight Watchers.
If you don't live in NJ, who cares what this fat slob says?
Might be the best thing that’s happened today .
Christie the RINO not running ,,, I guess that’s supposed to bother someone ,,,, perhaps Ann Colter maybe ,,,,,,
