I can only try to give my opinion, and I do respect your stance on Romney and agree with it. I just don't see how it helps FR long-term, or the conservative movement, and in the interim, wouldn't it make sense to try and get rid of Mittens so it doesn't get to that point for you? We have five months or so to make sure Romney isn't the nominee, don't we? At that point, if for some reason Mittens wins, then it's time to make your stand, right? Before then, can we at least try to kill his candidacy, instead of having this circular infighting amongst conservative candidates.

You do hold the power, Jim, and if you want to ZOT me, so be it. It's your great site, and I'm just happy to be a member of such a free and open community.

Palin supporters never fire the first shot.

- - - - -

HA!!! Now you are lying to yourself as well.

Tell me, how does it feel to have your goddess betray you?

BTW, still waiting for the answer to my question...are you calling Palin a liar? She said she isn’t running yet you don’t believe her. Why is that?

FWIW, I checked your posting history and there is no indication that you are using sarcasm in your posts.

2. The Fair Tax idea of moving to a consumption tax after a constitutional amendment outlawing income taxes is one interesting idea.

the plan is to move to a fair tax.

Well this was a dream killer for sure. I can’t say that I blame Sarah for not running, but I sure do feel sorry for myself. For the first time since Reagan I was excited about a politician. I was actually looking forward to finally getting to vote FOR someone that I thought would be a great president. Now? There is not a one of those running that I could ever vote for. I have studied each one of them and there is not a one (possible exception Newt) who has a clue about being president. A bunch of losers. So what am I to do? I’m too old now to dream that America can be saved. I was so praying that I would live to see America restored. Guess not. I’ll be doing something else on election day.

“fire in the belly”

I had that too, until I used NEXIUM (TM) - the little purple pill for gastric reflux.

Oh, /sarc

Serious? They used to ‘open fire’ on me every single time I (correctly) pointed out that she was obviously not running.

Don’t worry Ta, we’ve signed SPP12 up for shock treatment, I even found a coupon...hope it isn’t one of those discount treatment centers...

Sadly, some might require something a little stronger than garden variety shock treatment.

Goddess???
DEMOCRATS need Messiahs and goddesses, not us.
Most of us already have one.

Now this thread has given me a chance to vent, I am done with bashing the Palinistas.

I have been crystal clear (as much as possible) in identifying the extreme fringe of the Gov. Palin supporters. These were the people who savagely attacked anyone who objectively analyzed Gov. Palin’s attachment to the political arena as being lacking to one degree or another.

But, to their credit, many FReepers who supported Gov. Palin didn’t find it a need to both crown her the 2nd coming of Reagan and excoriate anyone/everyone who dared speak the truth. The very truth Gov. Palin herself walked up to in her decision not to run. The FReepers if whom I speak attempted to balance their enthusiasm with political reality. These are the people who grabbed pom poms and jumped in support — and the people I respected.

The detrimental aspect was that many extreme palinestas decided the best way to support Gov. Palin was to denigrate the identifiable candidates of her detractors (one need only look at the 600 through 900 post IDs in this thread for many examples of this phenomenon).

We defended her because the media and other Republicans were attacking her.

Good lost today. Evil won.

RE :"Someone should a study on the the abusive element of the PDS’ers. Palin supporters never fire the first shot."

You are either lying or out of it. Some but certainly not all of Palinistas were the most aggressive AHs here you can imagine. They were constantly name calling and some calling for zotting of anyone that didnt post the exact words they wanted to see.

Then the new aggressive gang the Perry-dactus moved in. Their bottom fell out, until this.

Funny words you use, like “betray” and “liar”.

Gov Palin hasn’t broken any promises. She said she would decide after she checked out the lay of the land. Maybe she thinks it doesn’t favour her, though her supporters might not agree.

What is it with you PDS’ers that the thought that she might not run excites you to THIS degree? Is it a sense of relief that your RINO candidate can get past the primaries unopposed?

Who needs an analyst, then? You should be locked away!

I figured Sarah would see that reality and realize that the country really needed her at this point in history.

Instead, im afraid she rolled over and gave the media, the DNC and all of her enemies a big victory.

I doubt I vote on election day as well.

So, go with Betty Ford Center rather than the discount shock treatment camp in the mall?

I’m not surprised. I figured if she was going to run, she would have announced much sooner. At this point, I did not expect her too. Honestly, for the sake of her family, it’s probably a good choice. The media and liberals would be brutal. PMS (Palin Madness Syndrome) is worse than BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome). I still like Rick Santorum and Michelle Bachmann.

I already have one too, but there are some who have turned to idolatry with their political non-candidate.

I’m not kidding, either, I have worked in counter-cult ministry for almost 20 years and I have seen some very clear cultic behavior from a few Palin supporters on here, including comments, that as a Christian, I found very offensive.

She did. Just not in the way you hoped for.

Agreed and well stated. It is time to move on and fight Romney and get a real conservative (who is running) the nomination.
