I feel exactly the same way. These idiots who think we have another 4 years to mess about before the whole financial system comes crashing down don’t have a clue. Keep celebrating folks!! Romney will now get the nomination & probably lose to Obama.

“She didnt deserve all of the hell she has gotten..from BOTH sides..both sides have treated her like crap and for what, after all, what horrible thing has she ever done..nothing..she is a beautiful human being who only has wanted to help people and this is how she gets treated.”

I agree, and I want to add my Thanks to the Palin family. They have endured hell over the last 3 years, and come through it in a classy, and honorable fashion.
Although I really wanted her to run, I have said for a year that her family would be the guiding factor in the decision. She still has young children to raise, and with all the vitriol, and hate coming from the rabid moonbats, and the state run media, I dare say none of us would want to subject their children to this. There’s clearly a double standard. The Obama children are hands off while pigs like David Letterman are out there publicly hoping her children are raped. As a parent would you want your children exposed to their mother being called a “C*nt” by the likes of a Bill Maher. IF I was Todd he wouldn’t make it to his car the night he said it.
God bless you and your family, Sarah. We still need your help, and will be grateful for any offered. But I for one understand, and absolutely respect your decision.

Mr Cain, what can I do to help!! Lets Roll!!

I agree. I’m sure that was her motivation.

IT'S OVER Wake up and let go of these silly Palin dreamland scenarios. She is just another media member at this point. She will not be a VP choice, just as she won't be President.

That's emotional and irrational. Palin was a brilliant VP pick for McCain. It nearly worked for him. If McCain had not been such a complete disappointment to the conservative base of the Republican party, he and Palin would be in office today. Palin has the ability to inject the same energy into this race as well, if she so chooses. What you see as a "dreamland scenario", I see as "history repeating itself". If she opts not throw her support to a candidate in exchange for a VP slot, I'm okay with it. Just as I am fine with her not opting for a run at the Presidency. But to disregard her considerable political capital simply because you shout "it's over" on FR is foolish.

We had a businessman as the last Republican governor of NH, he was a disaster.

It’s a very different skill set. Politics is dishonest, greasy, and low - and those are its good points.

Mr. Cain may be everything you hope he is, but he will be under the floodlights for more than a year, it’s just my opinion, but I don’t think he will last.

I am simply amazed and saddened at how hateful fellow freepers can be to one another when a candidate is being discussed. Very disappointed.

I hear you. So often in life we become so wound up in a cause that we become what we hate. Some here are so committed to stop the left that they will use the same methods, knuckle dragging, slobbering and very hateful. It is sad as so often considered discussion and debate is impossible and everyone loses.

We don’t yet know whether this was a bad decision. She IS a kingmaker and considering how influential she was in the midterms this could be the best thing she can do for our party. She can stir up a crowd like no one else. When she backs a candidate that person will rise. It won’t be Romney.

I curse to Hell anyone who does not vote for the republican nominee against Barack Hussein Obama.

And that hell will be our beloved America.

If the Democrats weren’t afraid before, they must be peeing in their pants now.

I would guess she can make a difference in 6-8 Senate races and 25-30 house races through both campaign stops and raising money for those individuals. Dick Luger might as well announce his retirement now.

But of course she just now decided and hasn’t been stringing people along...no she’d never have done that.

I just hope she doesn't play footsy and tease under the table with her endorsement. There's only one candidate in the race that is anti-establishment and we all know who it is ...

She didn’t “play” anybody you moron. If you’ve been “mistreated” by her supporters, it’s easy to see why

Pretty much the typical post from Palin's more fanatical FReepers. Hopefully this BS ends soon.

You are correct. There is NO perfect candidate. There will ALWAYS be something to disagree with. Sarah Palin was my personal number one. Cain is next. If I can agree with him a good 90% of the time, that is good.

I had a talk with my brother, a true conservative, and we went through the list of who’s left, rating them between ourselves. It’s Cain for us now.

A few days ago I had a conversation with my dad, who is an 86 year old Vietnam vet and retired Air Force guy, and he was telling me about this ‘guy’ he’d been hearing about, the ‘Godfather pizza man’. He told me he really, REALLY liked the man. I sent him toddling off to Youtube to do some research. He then agreed with me that if Sarah didn’t run, Cain was the route we’d go.

I’m disappointed Sarah isn’t running, but totally understand her reasoning. The media and the elite R’s have really done a number on her and, especially, her children. They would have really doubled down on their efforts to totally destroy this woman AND her kids. What we’ve seen up until now would seem like the calm before the storm. She can do much good for the country in other ways.

Go Cain!

Yawn.

It has been obvious for a while she is not running. Now lets see if she can help us elect a President other than Obama or Romney.

Give Palin supporters time to grieve and don’t be snotty.

Too late.

what a shame, the Palinista’s tore down Perry, now we are almost guaranteed Romney.

Imagine if Palin had only told us this a month ago, Perry’s numbers would of surged to 50%, Bachmann, Santorum, and Cain would of dropped out and then Perry would of surged to 70% and the race would of been over.

By Palin waiting just a few weeks longer she messed up everything.

Some folks here are really disappointed. Perhaps you should wait a while before the “I told you so”. Shows compassion.

She has just assured us of OBAMA vs. MITTENS.

Not necessarily.

At this point in 07, it was going to be Giuliani or Romney, not McCain.

but I have never understood the Sarah bandwagon. She is bright, articulate, passionate in her views and attractive, but short on real experience.

Same reason I totally don't get the Cain Bandwagon. We are talking about giving an entrepreneur in the Pizza business full control over the American Military and nuclear arsenal.
